  • Have you heard of wordpress? 🙂

As you saying you want it to look the same? Or just that you want visitors/users to be able to post things? WordPress may well serve your needs, but customizing it’s looks can be difficult without design skill. I recommend you cruise the pre-written themes to see if something will work for you.

Thanks for the response. So what your saying is either:

    a) I link off of the existing site to a page with a theme, or
    b) I lose the current site design and incorporate it into a theme.

I’m really not looking for any design element. The site is already designed. I would just want a very simple table-like structure to fit within the existing site design. Something that complements it colorwise, but nothing fancy.

I don’t know if you have the skill to do it yourself, but I guess what you ‘want’ is someone to create a wordpress theme that looks like your existing design. That would be the best scenario. If you wanted to put the time in to study the theme system, I’m sure you could convert your current site into a wp theme. Perhaps you might even find someone willing to help you with it, considering the nature of your site, and the large number of theme authors out there.

I personally would never do it, but you could also use an iframe to contain your wordpress, keep it’s theme fairly basic so it blends in within it’s frame. iframes are deprecated, but lots of folks still use them.

If I were you, I would convert the site to be entirely wordpress. WordPress let’s you have additional pages besides the journaling part, so you could easily have your site appear as it does now, except have a wordpress engine.
