How to turn Comment Moderation OFF

    Can someone please explain this to me? I’m sure it must be so simple it’s hard, but I can’t figure it out. If you have spam words entered into the comment box, does this automatically turn on comment moderation?
    I’d like to disable spam, but enable comments without approval.

    I need more detailed information than that.
    I have “An administrator must approve the comment (regardless of any matches below) ” UNCHECKED and comments still won’t post until I approve them.

    Check there isn’t a carriage return at the end of your spamword list. An empty line will enable comment moderation on all posts. It’s an undocumented feature.

    I have spam words entered.
    I too have the “An admin must approve … ” unchecked.
    (That is the only box on that options-discussion page that is not checked by me)
    All comments, unless they contain a spam word, go straight to the blog.
