Problems with Date Format Display

Hi all,

Just wanted to say I’ve just found this application and I’m very impressed, many thanks for all the hard work put in so far!!!

I’ve just installed the latest version of wordpress today v2.0.3
Everything works fine except for the date on posts.
I’ve tried setting the date format options as follows:

F jS,

Which should display the date as:

July 13th,

However, what I get is:

{1}July 13th,

also,

l F jS,

should display,

Thursday July 13th,

but I get,

{1}Thursday${1}July 13th,

Is this something with the theme I am using Rubric or something more sinister.
