• If I upload a file with a hash (#) in it, then insert the link into the editor, I can post the link, but when I click on it I get “page cannot be displayed.”

Other than renaming the hundred or so files I have with pound signs in them, is there any way to fix this?

Also, note that I searched for ‘upload’ and ‘hash’ and ‘pound’ in various different ways before writing this post and found nothing on the matter. It seems I can’t search for “#.”

  • It’s probably not a good idea to use those kinda of characters for filenames especially when it has significance in HTML.

You’re probably better of renaming those files and using things like “_” instead.

Thanks but that directly contradicts the part where I asked “Other than renaming the hundred or so files I have with pound signs in them, is there any way to fix this?”

Does anyone else have a more useful suggestion?

I guess you ignored the part when I indicated that using # specifically would not work with HTML.

    Good luck to you.
