WordPress Mobile Edition 1.2 (PDA friendly hack)

I’ve tried Kablog and tried to connect using the blogger API, but it does not work. On the phone I have a:
bad username or password error
and in the logs I have a :
[error] get_settings: Didn’t find setting search_engine_friendly_urls
Would the mobile edition hack work better?

I guess I’m stupid. Where does the code for this go? It keeps showing up on my index page when I include it.
