   I am having some weird problems with my wordpress blog which is version 1.5.2. I am torn on whether I should install 2.0.1 because I use Live Press(LJ sync) and it doesnt work on 2... so my question is... how can I install a fresh copy of wordpress and simply import my posts without any settings from my old version?

   Any help? Just looking at how I can import my old posts from the DB to a new install. Please help if you can. Thanks

   I am not sure I understand your question clearly.
   The "old" install is 1.5.2, right? What the "new" install is going to be? If 2.x - you cannot import the old database because the DB structure has been changed.
   If the "new" is going to be another 1.5.2 - then go ahead.

   To avoid problems, always import/export DB in between the same versions, if you don't update.
