2 Archive pages – different formats?

    Not sure of what I want is even doable. Here goes. I have a photoblog (http:\\www.thelifearoundme.net) the current theme I’m using has dropdown archives with thumbnails pulling from the excerpt. This works beautifully as far as I can see.

    This is not good in some ways as for the past 2-3 years of photos of which I have NO thumbnails for. The idea of making the thumbnails and editing every post no way appeals to me.

    So my thought is can I have my regular archives with lists say from the beggining to October 2005, then use the new format from November 2005 going forward?

    How do I say for ex: from 10/2002 to 10/2005 use this archive. From 11/2005 to current use this archive..
