uncheck flash slide show option
that worked for me
I had nothing or a black box in safari
I had no errors so when in doubt turn off flash!
I have Flash disabled and it still doesn’t show.
The slideshow is functioning when using it in an album view.
The gallery widget is appearing in the sidebar but alas the slideshow widget is not.

Well I copyied imagerotators swf file in nextgen-gallery folder and used flash. It start to work, then I turned off the flash support in nextgen options and it works with nextgen slideshow.
Before I cannot see the widget at all. I guess it needs the imagerotator.swf file in nextgen-gallery folder.

Thanks, that got me going.
Just need to put a path in the imagerotaor.swf field, no need to even activate flash.
Topic can be changed to ‘resolved’ afaik
