   it seems start and end quotes (curly ones) are messed up if the end quote is immediately followed by a punctuation.

   eg: "Word". will result in 2 starting quotes instead of “Word�.

   The link "Shogun" has the wrong end quote. Happens everytime and I guess it has to do with one of the WP scripts parsing the post?

   this problem still persists. no one has any clue why?

   That would probably be a K2 bug. Please report it to the K2 Support Forums.
