[Plugin: Favicon Generator] Can't get a new favicon to show up

I began by using on favicon but noticed it was way too small to look good as an favicon so I wanted to switch it out. But now the new one is not showing up.

I tried clearing my cache but that didn’t work and I read the info about wp_head() but I honestly don’t know what to do with that information. How do I know if my theme is or isn’t using wp_head()?

I can tell you that I am using the BuddyPress Magazine Theme (http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/buddypress-magazine-theme).
