• Hi there! Forgive me if what I am asking is too basic. I tried searching for the answers, but came up to naught.

I need to do the following:

    (1) Reduce the long lists of blogrolls on my sidebar. I have seen how other sites have only a link to each blogroll which expands with a click. I am hoping that this can be easily implemented on my site. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    (2) I would also like to do with the book list I have on my sidebar. Basically I would like to have a link that says something like: “recommended reads” and with a click let it expand with the list of books, but by default it would be just the link. I hope this make sense.

    (3) I am still struggling with the fact that in IE my site comes out with an error but I don’t know what the error is. Also my right sidebar looks really wierd in IE and I have no idea how to correct that.

    (4) Finally, on my contact page, the contact form is not ligning up in IE although it works fine in Firefox. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

  • You haven’t posted a link to your website.

    Also http://intheouter.net/ gives an error

Umm, none of what you discussed has any real impact on the performance of site load, I don’t think. 1+2 can both be tricked with javascript, but I thought that just ‘hid’ content that was already there. (Not talking AJAX interactive pulls here…)

If you are having problems with site load times, there could be a whole ton of other causes…

Sorry guys, while I was posting that question, my site went berserk. I tried contacting my site support, but so far no response. When I tried to go to my site, I encountered the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_bloginfo()

I am trying a few things, but so far, so bad…

    🙁

Opps… my site url is the one referred to above: http://intheouter.net/

Offhand, I would say that your home page is 358K with images. That’s going to take a longish time to download no matter what you do.

You might consider moving some of your links to a separate page (kind of a directory), and lightening up on images.

Still, I’d like to know how to make the “Pages” and “Lastest Update”, in the Side Bar, collapsible. Can that be done in WP without much trouble?
