Plugin for Manual entry of News Stories on Pages?

Is there a plugin for manual entry of various News Stories? That can possibly show summary (not full story) – Than with a link to the original source?

I understand there’s various automated RSS plugins…But, what if I want to hand pick relevant news stories from various sources, than display them on a Page for News Stories (not sidebar widget), would be nice to simply enter the link to the article to automatically populate the post.
