Newly created pages show up as 'not found' (4 posts)

Ok, I'm using wordpress version 2.6.2 (yes, I know I need to update).

I've never created pages before because I never needed them. Now for the first time I do need them but there's a problem - when I create a page and click to view it, wordpress tells me it is 'not found'.

The page appears as a new tab in the blog and everything, but clicking it just says 'not found'.

I've see on some other post with a similar problem someone suggested it might be a problem with slugs and .htaccess file, but the slugs work perfectly fine on all regular posts - this is only specific to pages.

Please help me... what could be causing this? And more importantly, how do I fix this?

Thank you for reading and for any help you can provide! :-)

    John

First try updating your permalinks via Administration > Settings > Permalinks.

    Hi Michael,

I don't understand your advice... what exactly do I need to update in there?

Make sure you are using the desired structure and then click on Save Changes.

If necessary, may need to delete your .htaccess file then visit Administration > Settings > Permalinks and Save Changes again.

If you continue this thread please provide a URL to see the problem.
