    Ouroborous,

What is qTtranslate? I’m asuming it’s a plugin. i am confusing about how it’s interacting with the plugin.

Also as a heads up I’m planning to make it possible to translate the theme of the Facebook application in a future release.

Marco – what is the url of your Facebook application?

Hi! Great plugin and it does work just like it’s supposed to, but I have the same exact problem as Ouroboros here. qTranslate is a plugin that allows multilingual bloging by inserting language tags into posts (like <!–:en–> or [:en]). I use it too. So, when WPBook re-posts WP post to Facebook, it ignores language tags and posts all languages. The Box actually shows the language tags themselves. If there was a way for WPBook to recognize language tags so user could choose whether to show all languages all just one, that would be fantastic. I’m surprised this issue hadn’t come up more often, maybe people did find a workaround… Oh, my Facebook app is here: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=120173474693404

Will need to look into this some more.

It would require some pretty significant parsing of the post text every time a post is published or viewed.

If anyone reading this thread is an active developer who gets how qTranslate works, patches are welcome 😉

    Hej

I had the same problem and fixed it with a little parsing at least in WPBook version 1.4. My default language on http://2010wses.org is english, so I have no language switch for Facebook included since there was no need.

WPBook and qTranslate – Recent Posts on Facebook

Basically I fused the normal “Recent Posts”-Widget-Code (WP 3.0) with the WPBook-Code, so it should work in the new versions also.

@agenzus – thanks for the link to code – I’ll check it out and if possible incorporate it back into the 2.x stream of wpbook.
