Extracting posts text only

I’ve asked this question before, but I didn’t really get the answer I was looking for. Basically I’m trying to download all posts and related information (such as date it was posted and post title, maybe even category but I’m not really fussed about that last one) as one text file.

I’m thinking in the similar way that you get all your posts when moving from Moveable Type over to WordPress (haven’t done that in over a year now). Any ideas?
