IE not rendering site at all
-
Hi, First let me state that I’ve scoured google, usenet, and the WP knowledge base and haven’t had any luck with this. Second, I know it’s an IE problem as the site renders fine in several other browsers. I also know that WP isn’t in the business of supporting IE, but this only happens on WP sites – it even happens on wordpress.org itself (but main page only).
Now the problem. After rebooting my computer I can access my blog for a few hours, maybe days. But then something snaps and IE begins to choke on the XHTML and simply won’t render the content of the page. If I view source – it’s all there. I’ve even saved the page locally as test.htm and it still doesn’t render, so it’s not a server or internet issue. I also validated at w3.org and fixed all the little errors that were there. I’m using a modifed ExtraExtra theme.

I’m using WP 1.5, IE 6ish. Maybe there’s an XML parser update that I need or something? I hope someone has come across this problem along the way… and please don’t say “don’t use IE cause it sucks” because I already know that. 🙂
Thanks in advance for any light that can be shed on this problem.
Mark
