I have had a blog on Blogspot for almost a year now and about a month or so ago, I decided to make the move to Wordpress. I went to wordpress.com and set up the blog there, not knowing that wordpress.org was a completely different animal. I found this out when I was trying to get all of the widgets from blogspot to work on my new wordpress.com site and most did not.

I have my domain at http://traylorlovvorn.com and have loaded the Wordpress 2.7.1 onto the server. I am trying to install everything, but I continue to get the dashboard for my wordpress.com site.

I need help loading wordpress.org so that I can make the transition. PLEASE HELP!!

How are you redirecting http://traylorlovvorn.com to http://traylorlovvorn.wordpress.com/ ? You need to turn off that redirection.

As far as I can tell, I have removed all forwarding. I will continue to check.

I am on hold with godaddy support now to make sure I have all forwarding turned off. If they say all forwarding is off, what are next steps to resolve this issue?

Forwarding may take a while to disable. Even if it's off, you won't see the actual change happen immediately.

Next, check to be sure that your hostname is pointed to the correct IP address for your web hosting. You may need to ask them what the IP should be set to for your hosting.
