Links to blog broken – can’t load blog in browser

    I have set up a blog at http://www.gowerphotography.co.uk/Blog but I am now not able to see it as my browser is unable to locate it. I updated a plugin and then tried to change the wordpress directory URL by mistake. This resulted in me not being able to access the Dashboard. I have managed to get access back into the dashboard, but I am still not able to see the blog either through the dashboard or via external links on the home page of the website or directly in my browser. I have now removed the updated plugin but nothing has changed.

    Could somebody please help. I have reloaded by FTP my theme (classic) and all of the wordpress php files, but still no change. I am a WordPress newbie with limited coding knowledge, so really basic explanations please.

    Thanks Iridiax for the link. I followed this previously to get access back to the Dashboard, which is now working ok, but pressing on the visit site link top left or through any other link on my website homepage still fails to load the blog?

    Make sure that your WordPress directory name is now correct with FTP and then check that your WordPress and blog URLs are correct in the WordPress dashboard.

    Just checked the dashboard, and all URls are correct. The wordpress directory name is ok as well.

    Your site is giving a 500 error.

    Reset your permalinks to default (if they aren’t already) and rename your .htaccess (if you have one) to disable it. Note: This file is invisible, so set your ftp to show invisibles.

    If this doesn’t work, try disabling all plugins.

    Added: Make sure that the WordPress directory name has the same capitalization in all of your settings. It matters on some servers.

    Thanks Iridiax for the help. Tracked the problem down to the Tweet This plugin. All seems ok now it has been deactivated.

    I can load my blog http://sekt-district.blogspot.com/ in my office. But i not manage to load my page at home. Even my friend also can not load the page in her house.
    Please help
