I have a problem with exported content produced by v1.7 when saving as default Microsoft Excel csv file (opening with Excel 2007). the spreadsheet is not recognising separators within fieldnames in the title row or in content of dataset rows. Do you have any suggestions / amendments to view exported content correctly?

Maybe you didn't set the correct separator in Excel importing the csv file? The separator for exporting datasets is ; and as far as I know excel has TAB or , as separator for importing csv files.

Posted 9 months ago #Problem occurs when one of fields is a textarea and text entered over more than one line using Enter key for new line
using excel text import and tab as delimiter, first line of textarea goes to correct field. Subsequent lines of same text area for the dataset go to Field 1 on the next Excel row and so on until the last line of textarea, where remaining fields do continue on same row but from field 2.
Intuitively this is confusing. Do we need to use line breaks?

I could include a check on that type and remove line breaks.

Version 1.8.2 fixes a bug in uploading images and thumbnail creation and now line breaks should be removed upon dataset export
