For example, add your own details, do not click on this link.
http://www.yoursite.com/directory/sitemap.xml
Also take a look at http://sitemaps.org/

Is above directory be the one in which the site map plug is located for a wordpress blog becuase I tried just about every one I can think of and I get a page not found error including for this one http://www.theimagineershome.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/sitemap.xml
