• I’m developing a website for a client who doesn’t know anything about HTML. The problem with the built in WYSIWYG editor in WordPress 2.5.1 is that it shows the formatting tags as you format your writing. I think this will be confusing for them. Is there a plugin or a hack that I can apply that will allow someone to edit a post like in Word with 0 HTML?

Actually, I realized that my editor was broken. I didn’t know that it was stuck in HTML mode even though it showed it was in visual. I found out it was because of memory limits. I configured and uploaded a php.ini file to the tinyMCE folder and it was fixed.

Even though I got no help, I’m leaving this here to help others that happen to come by.

Why are you developing a new site with an old version of WP?

It’s on purpose. I have bbpress installed and until it can integrate with 2.6 then I’m stuck with 2.5 for now.

That makes sense. I had a similar issue with one of my sites and eventually gave up on integrating the two.

They just came out with a new version in the alpha stage, so integration with 2.6 will be soon.
