• Hey Guys,

I have been working on implementing a WordPress blog into my site for a couple weeks. I had it all up and running perfectly about 15 minutes ago. Then, the dumb person I am – I let Dreamweaver synchronize my entire website from my local drive. So, it took all my local files (including the wordpress directory) and overwrote everything on my server.

Now, when I go to my site, it just shows a white page! I’m assuming I just wiped everything out, however am very new to WordPress and working with databases http://www.pzgi.com/ss/website/wordpress.

I’m really hoping someone can help, this is part of my senior project @ school.

    Thanks so much,

    Dan P.

  • If you wiped files out on your host server then unless you have a backup of those files you could be in trouble.

Of course the database is probably intact.

Don’t do anything until you check with your host–they might be able to restore last night’s (or other time) backup.

While you are waiting to hear from your host review WordPress Backups.

I will definitely check out my host and see if they can reload, thanks MichaelH.

I can’t believe I did this. Anything else I should be aware of or look into?

If you don’t have a backup and your host doesn’t have a backup, then your wordpress files (like customized themes/plugins) are history. So don’t think there’s more to look at.
