I did a new install of 2.5 and planned on using the WP installed default theme as the base for some medium customizing I want to do, like adding a 2nd sidebar.
The question I have is: why, when there is a comment posted and the link is clicked and the comment is displayed, the sidebar disappears?
Seems to be part of the design as every default theme I have looked at does the same thing. Is it possible to fix this theme to have the sidebar(s) always remain or do I have to go grab another theme to start modifying from?
Thanks

I use WP 2.6.3 Cutline 3-column. http://www.whahappen.com
I have a similar problem. I attempted to show comments at the bottom of each post by accurately following directions from: http://www.flisterz.com/2008/06/02/wordpress-display-comments-on-main-page/
It works great except for a couple of things. 1) When the comments show, my right sidebar disappears. And 2) I have a default of showing 3 posts on my homepage, but with comments showing, it drops to only two (I don't know if that means anything, but having only two posts on the front is not that big a deal, just thought I'd mention that it happens along with the disappearing side bar.)
Help a sister out? Thanks.
