Updating WordPress Versions via Fantastico

    I’m on ver2.04 and have doubts over updating WP via Fantastico… because I tried it once on my phpBB and the damn thing overwrote all my mods, which ofcourse I had backed up but it was a pain.

    Question: Is there a step by step procedure that can explain non techies on how to update WP via Fantastico – that one click update provided in my cpanel… in way that is safe and does not break my blog down or breaks my installed plugins.

    I update wordpress through fantastico and just change your theme back to the default one and disable all your plugins. Then click the upgrade button. Then go back and activate your plugins and change your theme back.

    phpbb is a pain in fantastico but not with wordpress!!
