External services
This plugin connects to an external exchange-rate API to convert the amounts shown in the WordPress admin into the selected display currency. This only happens in the admin area for the currency feature; no data about your site visitors is ever sent.
open.er-api.com (default, no API key required)
When you click “Update now” on the Currency Settings screen, switch the display currency, or when the once-daily background update (WP-Cron) runs, the plugin sends a request containing only your base currency code (for example “JPY” or “USD”) to retrieve the latest exchange rates. No personal data is transmitted.

If you enter an exchangerate-api.com API key on the Currency Settings screen, rate requests are sent to this endpoint instead, including your API key and base currency code. Same purpose and same provider as above.

How is the production cost calculated?

The cost is calculated in real-time: sum of (quantity × unit price) for all materials in the recipe. It always reflects the latest material prices — no stale cached values.

What’s the difference between the free and Pro versions?

The free version is fully functional with no usage limits. Pro adds separate features: stock alert emails, a sales dashboard with CSV export, order & production scheduling, order CSV import (minne / Creema), WooCommerce order integration, and manual exchange-rate override.

Do I need WooCommerce to use this plugin?

No. The plugin works fully standalone. If WooCommerce is active it is detected automatically: the dashboard adds WooCommerce monthly sales to the total, and in Pro a linked product’s WooCommerce orders can be auto-registered with part-stock deduction on completion. WooCommerce is never required.

Is the plugin compatible with multisite?

Multisite compatibility is not officially tested in v1. Single-site use is recommended.

Where can I find the shortcode list?

After activation, go to Handmade > Theme Settings to see all available shortcodes with auto-generated attribute examples.
