Description
Visora helps non-technical site owners manage how AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google, and more) interact with their WordPress site — in plain language, with strong guardrails. Get found by AI, no jargon, sensible defaults, one-click recommended settings.
What it does
- Dashboard — see AI-driven visits over time, which assistants visited, and your most-used pages. (Numbers are estimates based on what assistants send when they visit.)
- Permissions — allow or block each AI assistant, split into two clear choices: appear in AI answers (recommended on — can bring visitors) and use my content to train models (optional). Applied via robots.txt.
- AI Summary — auto-generate and serve an
/llms.txt: a short, machine-readable summary of your site that helps AI understand and cite it correctly. Editable description and content selection.
Honest by design
- robots.txt directives are respected by major assistants but are advisory, not a firewall.
- Google’s AI Overviews are served by the normal Google crawler and cannot be blocked without losing Google Search — so we do not offer a misleading “block Google AI” toggle. We expose only Google-Extended (training), clearly explained.
- AI traffic figures are estimates, always labeled as such.
Trademarks
Visora is an independent plugin and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, Anthropic, Apple, Amazon, Meta, or any other company. Product and company names (such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude) are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe which AI assistant each setting controls.
External services
This plugin makes no outbound requests. It only reads incoming request headers (to detect AI visitors) and outputs robots.txt directives and an llms.txt file on your own site.

FAQ
-
Does blocking an AI stop it completely?
-
robots.txt is respected by the major assistants, but it is a request, not a technical block. Bad actors can ignore it.
-
Will this hurt my Google ranking?
-
No. We never block the normal Google crawler. The Google option only controls Google-Extended (AI training), which does not affect Search.
-
Are the visit numbers exact?
-
No — they are estimates from referrers and crawler user-agents, and are labeled as estimates.
