Description
Venuera is the complete WooCommerce event ticketing plugin – sell event tickets, collect attendee details, design beautiful PDF tickets with QR codes, and check guests in at the door, all from one dashboard. And because every ticket is a real WooCommerce product, you keep 100% of your revenue: 0% per-ticket fees, forever. The only cost on a sale is whatever your own payment gateway charges.
Most event ticketing platforms lock you into a proprietary checkout and skim a fee off every ticket you sell. Venuera does the opposite. Your tickets use the WooCommerce cart, taxes, coupons and payment gateways you already trust – so setup is fast, payouts are yours, and nothing is held hostage behind a third-party system.
Whether you run concerts, workshops, conferences, club nights, fundraisers or community meetups, Venuera gives you a full event ticketing system inside WordPress without the monthly platform bill.
Why event organizers choose Venuera
- 0% per-ticket fees – never pay a commission on a ticket again. You only ever pay your payment gateway.
- Built on WooCommerce – keep your existing cart, checkout, taxes, coupons and every payment gateway you already use.
- Sell tickets in minutes – turn any event into sellable tickets with a dedicated Events post type and WooCommerce ticket products.
- Look professional – generate pixel-perfect PDF tickets with your branding, QR codes and barcodes.
- Own your data – attendees, orders and check-ins live in your WordPress, exportable to CSV and PDF anytime.
Everything in the free plugin
- Events – a dedicated Events post type with status, start/end date & time, timezone, venue and online-event handling, plus event categories.
- WooCommerce ticket products – sell tickets as simple (“Event Ticket”) or variable (“Variable Event Ticket”) products, so a single event can offer Adult, VIP, early-bird, student and other price tiers, each with its own price and stock.
- Attendee details at checkout – collect every ticket holder’s name, email and phone, stored on the order and printed on the ticket.
- Visual Ticket Designer (included free) – a drag-and-drop layout editor that builds the ticket itself, not just a theme:
- Pixel-perfect PDF tickets – the canvas maps 1:1 to the printed and downloaded PDF.
- QR code tickets (selectable L/M/Q/H error correction) plus common 1D barcodes – Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC, ITF, ITF-14, MSI, Codabar and Pharmacode – generated on your own server.
- Bundled fonts embedded directly in the PDF, so tickets look identical on screen and in print.
- Dynamic fields – bind event, ticket and attendee data so every ticket renders its own details and scannable code.
- Ready-made ticket templates to start from, plus a full element toolbox (text, images, shapes, lines, QR and barcode).
- Optional AI ticket assistant – describe the ticket you want and it lays it out on the canvas (uses an AI provider you connect in WordPress; see “External services” below). This is entirely optional and stays off until you use it.
- Front-end event pages – an events archive and single-event templates with search, category and date filtering, ready to drop into any theme.
- Dashboard, reports & export – sales and ticket overviews, CSV and PDF export, and built-in door check-in with per-ticket entry tracking.
Works on its own – grows when you need it
Venuera is fully functional by itself for single-date events and ticketing. Optional first-party add-ons extend it through clean hooks, and none of their code ships inside this free plugin:
- Recurring Events – recurrence rules and a front-end date/time picker for repeating events.
- Venue Designer – a visual seat-map builder and live seat selection for reserved seating.
- Point of Sale (POS) – sell tickets and products in person, straight from the browser.
- Custom Attendee Fields – build extra per-ticket questions beyond name, email and phone.
- Check-in app – a fast, installable scanner PWA for the door (camera, USB and Bluetooth readers).
Venuera requires WooCommerce.
Perfect for
Concert and gig ticketing, conferences and workshops, club and nightlife events, theatre and performances, festivals, fundraisers and charity galas, sports and community events, classes and online events – anywhere you need to sell event tickets on WordPress.
External services
This plugin connects to a few third-party services. Here is exactly what is sent, when, and why:
-
Freemius (licensing, updates & opt-in usage data) – Venuera uses the Freemius SDK to manage licensing for the optional paid add-ons and to deliver update and account information. On activation you are shown an opt-in screen; data such as your site URL, WordPress/PHP versions and admin email is only sent after you explicitly opt in, and you may skip it. Provided by Freemius, Inc. Terms: https://freemius.com/terms/ – Privacy: https://freemius.com/privacy/
-
AI provider (optional – only if you use the AI ticket assistant) – when you click “Generate” in the AI ticket assistant, the text prompt you type is sent through the WordPress AI Client to the AI provider you have configured in WordPress, and the generated layout is returned. No request is ever sent unless you actively use this feature. The provider, endpoint, terms and privacy policy depend on the AI service you connect in your own WordPress settings.
No data is sent to any external service during normal ticket selling, designing or check-in beyond what you explicitly trigger as described above.

FAQ
-
Does Venuera require WooCommerce?
-
Yes. Tickets are real WooCommerce products, so Venuera uses WooCommerce for the cart, checkout, taxes and payment gateways. The plugin will prompt you if WooCommerce is missing.
-
Does Venuera charge a fee per ticket?
-
No. Venuera never takes a per-ticket commission. The only fee on a sale is whatever your chosen payment gateway charges, so you keep the rest.
-
Can I sell different ticket types for one event?
-
Yes. Add an Event Ticket product for a single ticket type, or a Variable Event Ticket product to offer several tiers (for example Adult, VIP, early-bird, student), each with its own price and stock. These are dedicated Venuera product types you pick from the WooCommerce “Product data” type dropdown – not the built-in Simple/Variable products.
-
Can I customise how the ticket looks?
-
Yes. The built-in Ticket Designer is a drag-and-drop editor that produces a pixel-perfect PDF with your layout, fonts, dynamic data, QR code and barcodes – no design tools or developers needed.
-
Do my tickets include QR codes?
-
Yes. Every ticket can carry a scannable QR code (with selectable error correction) and a range of 1D barcodes, all generated on your own server and embedded in the PDF.
-
Do I have to use the AI ticket assistant?
-
No. It is completely optional. Nothing is sent to any AI service unless you choose to use it, and it first requires you to connect an AI provider in WordPress.
-
Can I check attendees in at the door?
-
Yes. The free plugin includes manual check-in with per-ticket entry tracking from the Tickets screen. For a dedicated, installable scanner app (camera / hardware readers), see the optional Check-in add-on.
-
Does Venuera support reserved seating, recurring events or in-person sales?
-
The free plugin covers single-date events and general-admission ticketing. Reserved seating (Venue Designer), repeating events (Recurring Events) and on-site selling (Point of Sale) are available as optional first-party add-ons that plug straight in.
-
Is Venuera translation-ready?
-
Yes. All strings use the
venueratext domain and a.pottemplate ships in thelanguagesfolder.
