FAQ

How often does it check my site?

Every 5 minutes (300 seconds) via WP-Cron.

Will it slow down my site?

No. The plugin uses WP-Cron which runs in the background. The check itself is a single HTTP request that takes less than 1 second.

Can I change the check interval?

The free version checks every 5 minutes. Custom intervals are available in the Pro version.

Does it work with caching plugins?

Yes. UKH Uptime Monitor makes HTTP requests like a regular visitor, so it works with all caching plugins.

What happens if my site is down?

You’ll receive an email alert with details about when the outage started and what error was detected. When the site comes back up, you’ll receive a recovery notification.

Can I share a status page with my visitors?

Yes! Use the shortcode [ukhug_status] on any page to display a public status page.

Does it store data locally?

Yes. All data is stored in your WordPress database. No data is sent to external servers.
