Installation

Upload the plugin files to /wp-content/plugins/t4p-dashboard-notes/, or install it through the WordPress Plugins screen.
Activate the plugin through Plugins Installed Plugins.
Go to your Dashboard and click “Add Note”.
Edit the title, add text, choose a background color, and save.

FAQ

Can I show notes only to administrators?: Yes. Dashboard notes appear only for logged-in users with access to the dashboard (typically Editors, Admins, or custom roles depending on your site).
Can I export or back up notes?: Yes. Notes are saved as custom post types and included in normal site backups.
Will this slow down my dashboard?: No. The plugin is lightweight, loads only on the dashboard, and adds no external scripts.

What a lifesaver this plugin was for me. I can’t say enough good things about T4P Dashboard Notes. I’ve been using it to keep track of site reminders, formatted links, and quick notes directly inside my WordPress dashboard, and it has performed flawlessly. It handles everything I need, runs smoothly without adding any bloat or slowing down my site, and does its job effortlessly. I haven’t found a single bug, glitch, or flaw with it—it just works, and it works incredibly well. If I could offer one small piece of feedback to the developers, it would be to consider tweaking the plugin’s title in the repository to something like “Dashboard Notes T4P”. I spent a really long time looking for a reliable dashboard note system, and putting “Dashboard Notes” right at the beginning of the name might help more people find this hidden gem much faster when searching the plugin directory! Overall, this is an outstanding plugin. Highly recommended to anyone who needs a clean, reliable way to keep notes and reminders in their WP admin!
