ReachMint Contact Launcher

Description

ReachMint Contact Launcher is a privacy-first contact routing widget. Clicking its floating launcher reveals the available contact choices one at a time with a smooth upward animation.

Unlike a fixed social-button stack, every contact option can have its own device target, page context, and weekly availability schedule. For example, you can offer WhatsApp to mobile visitors during support hours, Messenger on the front page, and email on blog content.

Schedules use the WordPress site timezone, support overnight hours, and are checked in the visitor’s browser so they remain accurate on page-cached sites.

The plugin works without an account, API key, hosted dashboard, tracking service, or external icon library. It does not contact any service until a visitor intentionally chooses a configured destination.

Features

  • Add, remove, enable, and reorder up to 50 contact buttons by drag-and-drop or keyboard controls.
  • Includes WhatsApp, Messenger, LINE, Telegram, Viber, Instagram, WeChat, email, phone, SMS, and custom links.
  • Choose a custom icon image from the WordPress Media Library.
  • Set a separate label, destination URL, color, and link target for every button.
  • Target each button to all screens, large screens, or small screens.
  • Show each button everywhere, only on the front page, only on blog content, or only on pages.
  • Give each button an optional weekly schedule using the WordPress site timezone.
  • Supports daytime and overnight availability windows, including schedules such as 18:00 to 02:00.
  • Place the launcher at the bottom-left or bottom-right.
  • Configure the side spacing, bottom spacing, launcher size, and launcher color.
  • Optionally keep contact labels visible while the menu is open.
  • Responsive design with mobile safe-area support.
  • Keyboard navigation, Escape-to-close behavior, focus styles, and reduced-motion support.
  • Page-cache-friendly device and schedule checks performed in the browser.
  • Loads frontend files only when at least one configured button is eligible for the current page.
  • No telemetry, advertising, cookies, tracking scripts, or background API requests.

Configuration

Smart visibility

Each contact button has independent visibility rules:

  • Devices: all screens, large screens over 782 pixels, or small screens up to 782 pixels.
  • Page context: everywhere, front page only, blog content only, or pages only. Blog content includes the posts page, single posts, category and tag archives, author archives, and date archives.
  • Weekly hours: select the days and enter a From and Until time. The schedule uses the timezone configured in Settings > General. Leaving every day unchecked applies the time window every day. Matching From and Until times means the selected days are available all day.

For an overnight window such as Monday 18:00 to 02:00, select Monday. The button remains available through 02:00 on Tuesday.

External services

This plugin does not connect to third-party services by itself and makes no background API requests.

A visitor’s browser navigates to an external service only after that visitor clicks a contact button configured by the site owner. The destination service may receive standard browser and request information according to its own terms and privacy policy.

Supported service links may include:

Custom links are controlled entirely by the site owner. Site owners should disclose any external destination they configure when required by their local laws or privacy policy.

ReachMint Contact Launcher is an independent plugin and is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp, Meta, Messenger, Instagram, LINE, Telegram, Viber, WeChat, or their owners. All service names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

The plugin settings page also contains a support button linking to the developer’s Ko-fi page. No Ko-fi content, script, tracking pixel, or payment form is embedded in WordPress. Ko-fi is contacted only when an administrator intentionally clicks the support button.

See Ko-fi’s terms and privacy policy.

Privacy

ReachMint Contact Launcher does not collect personal data, create cookies, or make background API requests.

When a visitor chooses a configured external service, or an administrator intentionally opens the Ko-fi support link, that external service handles the resulting navigation under its own privacy policy.

FAQ

Why is the launcher not visible?

Make sure the widget is enabled and at least one enabled contact button contains a valid link.

Also check that the button’s device, page-context, and weekly-hours rules match the current visit. Incomplete or unavailable buttons are intentionally not displayed.

Can different buttons appear for mobile and desktop visitors?

Yes. Device targeting is configured separately for every button. If no configured button is available for the current device, the launcher is hidden automatically.

How do weekly schedules work?

Schedules use the timezone selected in WordPress under Settings > General. They support normal and overnight time windows and are rechecked every minute in the browser.

Leaving all days unchecked applies the hours every day.

Which pages can I target?

Each button can appear everywhere, only on the site’s front page, only on blog-related content, or only on WordPress pages.

Does the plugin collect visitor or administrator data?

No. The plugin stores only its configuration in the WordPress options table. It does not set cookies, collect analytics, send telemetry, or transmit settings to the author.

Does it use an external icon service?

No. Standard icons are bundled as lightweight inline SVG markup and are strictly filtered before output.

Can I add a service that is not listed?

Yes. Choose Custom link, enter a supported contact or web URL, and optionally select an image from the WordPress Media Library.

Can I translate the plugin?

Yes. All administrator and frontend interface strings use the reachmint-contact-launcher text domain and are compatible with WordPress language packs.

What happens when I uninstall the plugin?

Uninstalling the plugin removes its saved settings. Deactivating it keeps the settings for later use.

How can I support the plugin?

ReachMint Contact Launcher is free to use. If it helps your website, you can optionally support continued development through the Ko-fi link on the plugin settings page.

No payment is required to use any feature.
