Description
Create questions and rich-text answers in a central FAQ library. Add [pg_faqs] to a page. The FAQs for this page panel defaults to Show all published FAQs. Uncheck it to search, add and order specific questions. Save with the page’s normal Update button.
- WordPress-native interface using wp.element and wp.components.
- Searchable picker with answer excerpts, duplicate prevention and accessible ordering.
- Independent FAQ order on each page.
- Full-width visual FAQ library with grid/list views, live counts and page placements.
- Usage panels include Show all placements and saved draft pages.
- Accordion powered by the WordPress Interactivity API, with native details fallback when JavaScript is unavailable. Plain-list layout also available.
- No external services, tracking or feature gates.
All mode sorts by question title. Selected mode follows your saved page order. An empty selection displays nothing. FAQ edits update canonical content across placements; your cache plugin may need purging.
Usage reporting indexes our shortcode in saved public post-type content. It does not index builder metadata, widgets, synced patterns or theme templates. Detection supports core post/page editors; manual configuration is available for builder/template placement. Two shortcodes on the same page use the same selection.
Use [pg_faqs layout=”list”] for plain-list output. Advanced template use can specify [pg_faqs source=”123″] to use a publicly accessible page’s selection. FAQs are admin-managed records without public single or archive routes. Draft, private and password-protected FAQs are not displayed. Answer shortcodes are not executed.
FAQ categories organize records in the dashboard; category filtering, schema output, import/export and copy-selection are not included.
Source Code and Development
The complete, human-readable source code is included in this plugin ZIP and distributed with every release. The shipped files are the editable source files; there are no compiled or minified counterparts.
- prajesh-faq-organizer.php: post type, page selection, usage reporting and shortcode rendering.
- assets/admin.js: plain JavaScript dashboard and page picker, using WordPress-provided wp.element and wp.components. Calls to createElement are written directly in this source; no JSX compiler is used.
- assets/view.js: native JavaScript module for the WordPress Interactivity API.
- assets/admin.css and assets/frontend.css: editable CSS stylesheets.
No npm, webpack, transpilation, bundling or build step is required to regenerate the runtime files. Edit the included source files directly. SOURCE.txt provides further development notes. No third-party JavaScript libraries are bundled. WordPress supplies the UI packages and the @wordpress/interactivity module.
Translations
PHP and JavaScript strings use the prajesh-faq-organizer text domain. WordPress.org language packs provide translations through translate.wordpress.org. No locale-specific translation files are bundled. The included languages/prajesh-faq-organizer.pot is a reference template, not a compiled translation.

FAQ
-
Does deleting or deactivating the plugin delete content?
-
No. FAQ records and page selections are retained. Export or remove these records deliberately before uninstalling if desired.
-
Are drafts displayed?
-
No. Public shortcode output includes only published FAQs without passwords.
-
Can I use two different selections on one page?
-
Both shortcodes use that page’s saved selection unless an explicit source page is supplied. Each shortcode can use a different layout.
-
Can each page use a different display style?
-
Yes. Use [pg_faqs layout=”accordion”] or [pg_faqs layout=”list”]. Layout is chosen in the shortcode; question selection and ordering are saved per page.
-
Does this plugin send data elsewhere?
-
No. FAQs, selections and usage reporting stay in your WordPress database. The plugin has no external API, telemetry or tracking. It uses WordPress-provided UI libraries and the Interactivity API.
