Mevrik

Description

Mevrik connects your WordPress site to your Mevrik Agentic eXperience (AX) account and injects
the Mevrik Messenger Widget on every page, so your visitors can chat in real time with your Mevrik AI Agent
instead of waiting on a queue.

A Mevrik AX account is required. If you don’t have one yet, you can create one during
the connection step — Mevrik gets a live agent answering questions on a shareable URL within minutes of
sign-up, so there’s a working agent to preview before you even touch this plugin.

How it works

  1. Activate the plugin. You’re redirected straight to Mevrik’s widget installation page.
  2. Log in to Mevrik AX (or create an account) and approve the connection request. This uses WordPress’s
own built-in Application Passwords consent screen — Mevrik never sees or stores your WordPress password.
  3. Mevrik pushes your Messenger Widget configuration to your site automatically.
  4. The widget is live on your site immediately — no further setup needed.

One snippet, two capabilities

The Mevrik Messenger Widget is the same embeddable widget that also powers your hosted public agent page
at agent.mevrik.ai/<your-business-slug>. If your Mevrik AX plan includes the Pulse add-on, its engagement
pixel is bundled into the same snippet — one install covers both the chat widget and Pulse tracking, no
second script tag required.

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.6 or newer
  • PHP 7.2 or newer
  • HTTPS on your site
  • An active Mevrik AX account (AX Growth or AX Enterprise)

External services

This plugin connects your site to Mevrik AX, a third-party service operated by Mevrik Limited. A Mevrik AX account is required.

1. Connecting your site (Mevrik AX app, ax.mevrik.ai)

  • What it is: the Mevrik AX web app where you log in and approve the connection.
  • When data is sent: only when you click “Connect to Mevrik” and approve WordPress’s Application Password consent screen. Your browser is then sent to ax.mevrik.ai, along with your site URL, your WordPress username and the newly created Application Password, so Mevrik can finish setting up the connection. Your main WordPress password is never sent.
  • After connecting, Mevrik AX calls this site’s REST endpoint (mevrik/v1/messenger-config) to send the widget settings (widget type, script URL and workspace ID).

2. Mevrik Messenger Widget (assets.mevrik.com and cdn.mevrik.ai)

  • What it is: the live chat widget script, loaded from Mevrik’s servers on the front end of your site. The script URL is restricted to an allow-list of these two Mevrik-owned hosts.
  • When data is sent: every time a visitor loads a page of your site, their browser requests the widget script from Mevrik. If a visitor chats with the widget, their messages are exchanged directly between their browser and Mevrik AX. If your Mevrik AX plan includes the Pulse add-on, its engagement pixel is part of the same script and records visitor activity as configured in your Mevrik AX account.

FAQ

Do I need a Mevrik account?

Yes, an active Mevrik AX account (AX Growth or AX Enterprise). You can create one during the connection
step if you don’t already have one.

Which Mevrik AI Agent shows up in the widget?

Whichever agent you’ve configured in your Mevrik AX workspace. Configuration — role, brand voice, knowledge
sources, escalation behavior — is managed entirely in Mevrik AX; this plugin only handles getting the
widget onto your WordPress site.

Why does my site need HTTPS?

WordPress’s Application Passwords feature — which this plugin relies on for a secure connection — is
only available over HTTPS. This is a WordPress core requirement, not something this plugin can override.

What happens if I deactivate the plugin?

The Messenger Widget stops appearing on your site immediately. Reactivating the plugin brings it back —
your connection is preserved, though you may be prompted to reconnect from the plugin’s settings page to
make sure everything is back in sync.

How do I fully disconnect Mevrik from my site?

Deactivating (or uninstalling) this plugin stops the widget from appearing, but the underlying Application
Password is managed by WordPress itself. To fully revoke it, go to Users > Profile > Application Passwords
in your WordPress admin and revoke the entry for Mevrik.

Where is my data stored?

The plugin itself stores only the widget settings (widget type, script URL and workspace ID) and a couple of status flags in your WordPress database, using the Options API. It does not store visitor data, chat history or personal information in WordPress.

The Mevrik Messenger Widget it adds to your site is served by Mevrik, so visitors’ browsers connect to Mevrik’s servers and their conversations are handled by Mevrik AX, not by WordPress. See the “External services” section above for what is sent and when, and Mevrik’s Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

Is Mevrik AX SOC 2 certified?

Mevrik AX is engineered to be SOC 2 Type II ready, with the observation period underway; it is not yet a
completed certification. Check your Mevrik AX account or mevrik.com for the current compliance status.
