Description

Doodosoft Click to Chat adds a beautiful floating WhatsApp chat button to your website. But unlike a plain click-to-chat button, it doesn’t just send visitors away — it captures every visitor as a lead first, so you never lose a contact even if the chat is never opened.

What makes it different

Installation

  1. Upload the doodosoft-click-to-chat folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install the plugin through the Plugins screen directly.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in your admin panel.
  3. Go to Wchat in your admin sidebar.
  4. Add your agents under Add Agent.
  5. Configure the widget appearance under Widget Setup.
  6. (Optional) Turn on Lead Capture to collect visitor details before the chat opens.
  7. Enable the widget — it will now appear on your site.

FAQ

How do I add an agent?

Go to Wchat Add Agent in your admin. Enter the agent name, phone number (with country code, e.g. +919876543210), role and optionally upload a photo.

Can I add multiple agents?

Yes, you can add as many agents as you like. Each agent gets their own card in the popup.

How does lead capture work?

Go to Wchat Lead Capture and enable it. Choose which fields to ask for (name, email, phone). When a visitor clicks an agent, they are asked for these details first. The lead is saved under the Leads tab and the details are added to the WhatsApp message. You can export all leads to CSV at any time.

Are the captured leads stored on an external server?

No. Leads are stored only in your own WordPress database and never sent anywhere except the WhatsApp chat the visitor chooses to open.

What are FAQ quick-reply chips?

Under Wchat Lead Capture you can add common questions, one per line. They appear as tappable chips in the popup; clicking one pre-fills the chat message for the visitor.

How do I pre-fill a message?

Go to Wchat Content tab and fill in the Default Message field. This message will be pre-typed when the visitor clicks any agent.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. You can independently control whether the widget shows on mobile and desktop under Display Rules.
