Description
Everything the Regulation asks a shop to display is in this free version, GARAN label included. Both official artworks, all 24 language editions, product page and checkout placement, the per-product GARAN fields, plus shortcodes and blocks. Install it and you are showing what the law asks for.
It also runs without WooCommerce. The notice needs no data from your shop, so it works on any WordPress site that sells goods, and uses WooCommerce hooks only when WooCommerce is there.
From 27 September 2026, EU sellers must display the harmonised notice on the legal guarantee of conformity, and traders offering a free whole-product durability guarantee longer than two years must also display the GARAN durability label. Both designs are fixed by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960, the notice in Annex I and the GARAN label in Annex II. This plugin displays that official artwork. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by the European Union, the European Commission, or any EU body, it is not legal advice, and installing it does not by itself make a store compliant.
Harmonised notice (mandatory for all traders):
- Uses official artwork in all 24 EU languages.
- On WooCommerce, automatically displays next to the add-to-cart button, with optional checkout page placement. Checkout placement works on both the classic checkout and the block checkout.
- Displays as a compact trigger row that opens the complete, unmodified notice on click, matching the European Commission’s own online placement examples. Switch it to always expanded if you prefer the full page permanently visible. Both are compliant, and neither ever shows a shrunken stand-in image.
- Follows your site language automatically, or pick one language for the whole site. On a Polylang or WPML site it follows the language each visitor is reading, with nothing to set up.
- Includes a shortcode and block for manual placement.
GARAN durability label (only if offering a qualifying guarantee):
- Uses official artwork, filled in with your guarantee duration, brand, and model.
- Each WooCommerce product gets its own “GARAN label” tab in the product data box. Fill in guarantee years, brand, and model there, and the label appears on that product, under the product image or above the add-to-cart button.
- One switch turns the label on or off across the whole site, so you can fill your product fields in now and start showing the label on the day it applies.
- Also available as a shortcode and block. There is no automatic site-wide placement since this label is conditional.
- Validates field lengths against the label’s fixed geometry before rendering, ensuring values never overlap the QR code or artwork.
- An optional nested display shows the official collapsed strip first, expanding to the full label on the first click, as permitted by the Regulation.
Both artworks are exact byte-for-byte copies of the European Commission’s files. They cannot be edited beyond the fields permitted by the Regulation.
Without WooCommerce, place the notice and the label yourself with the shortcodes or the blocks.
Free now, and a paid add-on later
The plugin is entirely free today, and the part that keeps your shop showing the right artwork always will be. Nothing is held back, nothing expires, and there is nothing to buy at the moment: the paid add-on described below does not exist yet.
It is being built for shops that outgrow doing this one product at a time:
- Bulk: CSV import and export of GARAN guarantee years, brand and model across a whole catalogue, plus category and tag rules so a product range inherits one guarantee duration.
- Print: the GARAN label as a print-ready PDF at the 95 by 100 mm minimum set for the offline version, in colour or in the official black and white, several to a sheet for shelf labels.
- Styles: control the frame, spacing and reveal trigger around the notice, including a light surface behind it on dark themes. The artwork itself is never restyled, because the Regulation forbids it.
- Compliance report: a dated PDF recording which pages showed the notice, in which language, on which date.
It will be a separate plugin, a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. There is a waitlist on the Add-on screen inside the plugin, and everyone on it gets a lower launch price when it ships. The same form has an optional box for telling me what the add-on should do: it is not finished, so what you write there still changes what gets built and in what order.
External services
This plugin contacts nothing on its own. Nothing about your shop, your products or your shoppers is sent anywhere, and the artwork, all 24 languages and the fonts are served from your own server.
One exception, and only if you ask for it. The Add-on screen in wp-admin has a waitlist signup form. Submit it and your browser sends the email address you typed, plus the optional free text box, to Kit (kit.com), the email service for that list. Nothing else is sent, and nothing at all is sent unless you submit that form yourself. The request goes from your browser rather than your server, so no key ships with this plugin and nothing is stored in your database.

Installation
- Install it with the WordPress plugins screen.
- Activate the plugin.
- On WooCommerce, the notice starts showing under the add-to-cart button straight away. Without WooCommerce, place it yourself with the shortcode or the block. Language, placement, display mode and width are all under Guarantee Notice in the admin menu.
- If offering a qualifying durability guarantee, open a product in WooCommerce, go to the “GARAN label” tab in the product data box, and fill in years, brand, and model.
FAQ
-
Is anything held back for a paid version?
-
No. Everything needed to display the notice and the GARAN label is in this free plugin: all 24 languages, the per-product GARAN fields, both automatic placements, the shortcodes and the blocks, complete and unlimited.
A paid add-on is being built, but it does not exist yet, so right now the plugin is simply free. When it arrives it will be about scale rather than compliance: bulk editing a catalogue, printing labels for a shop floor, and running many sites. A shop getting the required artwork onto its pages needs none of it.
-
Can I join the waitlist for the add-on?
-
Yes, on the Add-on screen in the plugin. One email when it ships, at a lower launch price than the normal one, and there is an optional box for telling me which features would actually help you. Nothing is sent unless you fill the form in yourself.
-
Does installing this make my shop compliant?
-
No, and be wary of any plugin that says otherwise. It puts the correct official artwork in front of your shoppers, which is the part software can do. Whether a durability guarantee qualifies for the GARAN label, and what figure belongs in it, is a question for you and the producer.
-
Do I need WooCommerce?
-
No. Without WooCommerce, place the notice and the GARAN label with the shortcodes or the blocks. WooCommerce only adds the automatic placements and the per-product GARAN fields in the product editor.
-
Is the artwork really the official version?
-
Yes, byte for byte. The notice files are the European Commission’s own published SVGs, copied without conversion, recolouring or redrawing, which is why they are the sizes they are. Only the three fields the Regulation allows on the GARAN label are editable, and their length is checked against the label’s fixed geometry before rendering so a long brand name can never overlap the QR code.
-
Which languages are included?
-
All 24 official EU languages, as separate official artwork files rather than translated text. Pick one by name, or leave it on automatic to follow the site language.
