GPSR Check – EU & UK Responsible Person

Description

Selling into the EU or the UK? Under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and the UK’s rules, every product needs a manufacturer, a Responsible Person based there, product identifiers and safety information, shown to customers.

GPSR Check, from EU Brand Support, does four things for free:

• Check. A readiness score for every product and for your store: manufacturer name and address, EU Responsible Person, UK Responsible Person, identifiers (GTIN, barcode or SKU on every variation), warnings and safety information, and an image showing the labelling.
• Fill. Type the details once for the whole store, or per brand, and they go on every product. A value you type on a product itself always wins.
• Show. A “Product safety” tab on product pages, hidden when a product has none.
• Pass on. Every value is kept as product meta (gpsr_manufacturer_name and so on), so feed and marketplace plugins can map it.

And one optional, paid service:

• EU and UK Responsible Person. EU Brand Support OÜ (Estonia) for the EU and UK Brand Support Ltd (England) for the UK, from £25 a month, with a 14-day free trial. Send your documents; once they have been reviewed, their details go on every product for you, each with a public check link anyone can open to confirm the cover is active.

External services

The checks, the fill and the product page tab work entirely inside your site. The plugin contacts outside services only after you choose to connect your store on WooCommerce > GPSR Check > Responsible Person and tick the consent box:

• EU Brand Support’s GPSR server (https://gpsr.eubrandsupport.com), run by EU Brand Support OÜ. When you connect, it receives your store’s name, address (URL), admin email, country and number of products. Afterwards, each time a product check finishes, it receives your store’s readiness score, the number of products checked and the number of products missing each check (no product names, customer or order data), and the plugin asks it about once an hour for your plan and review status. All of this is listed on the Connect screen and covered by the consent box you tick there. If you delete the plugin, it is told so your plan ends at the end of its paid period. • Updates from eubrandsupport.com (copies downloaded from https://eubrandsupport.com/plugins/ only; not in the wordpress.org version).
