Description
Ordifolio Legal Texts asks a few questions about the website owner and the website, and helps you draft the basic legal texts that Spanish websites usually need, as WordPress pages, shortcodes and blocks:
- Aviso legal (legal notice) template covering the items listed in article 10 of the LSSI-CE.
- Política de privacidad (privacy policy) under the GDPR and the Spanish LOPDGDD: controller, purposes, legal bases, retention, recipients and processors, international transfers, data subject rights and the right to complain to the AEPD.
- Política de cookies (cookie policy) with an editable cookie table: name, provider, purpose, duration and type.
- Condiciones generales de venta (terms of sale, optional) for online shops, with the 14-day right of withdrawal and the model withdrawal form of the TRLGDCU.
Language: the plugin’s interface and the generated legal texts are in Spanish, because the plugin is meant for websites in Spain (LSSI-CE, RGPD, LOPDGDD). Interface strings are translatable.
Important: the texts are guidance templates, not legal advice. They may not fit every business and the law changes. Have them reviewed by a lawyer or legal adviser before publishing them. The plugin asks you to confirm this before generating the pages, and new pages are created as drafts by default.

- Step-by-step setup wizard (individual or company, NIF/CIF, address, Mercantile Registry, contact, optional DPO, activity and sector, hosting and other processors, international transfers, cookies, online sales).
- Creates or updates the pages for you. Pages contain a dynamic block, so the texts are updated automatically whenever you change the data.
- Shortcodes:
[ordifolio_legal_texts_aviso_legal],[ordifolio_legal_texts_privacidad],[ordifolio_legal_texts_cookies],[ordifolio_legal_texts_condiciones]. The short forms[legalia_aviso_legal],[legalia_privacidad],[legalia_cookies]and[legalia_condiciones]also work. - Blocks: Aviso legal, Política de privacidad, Política de cookies and Condiciones de venta (category “Text”).
- One click to add the usual WordPress and WooCommerce cookies to the table.
- Can set the generated privacy policy as the WordPress privacy policy page.
- Optional footer links to the legal pages and an optional footer credit (off by default).
- Admin notice when an update changes the templates, so you can review the texts again.
- WooCommerce shops: optional condiciones generales de venta and the usual WooCommerce cookies, so your avisos legales cover the online store too.
- Works together with Ordifolio (PDF catalogs): when Ordifolio is active, the wizard offers clauses for PDF catalogs, orders and quote requests made from the catalogs, and restricted price lists for professional customers.
- No external services: everything is generated on your own server, nothing is sent to third parties and no personal data is collected beyond what you enter.
Ordifolio Legal Texts does not display a cookie consent banner. If your website uses cookies that are not strictly necessary (analytics, advertising…), you need a consent tool that blocks them until the visitor accepts.

Hooks use the legalia_ prefix. Filters: legalia_templates, legalia_sections, legalia_document_html, legalia_fields, legalia_wizard_steps, legalia_sanitize_settings, legalia_missing_required, legalia_suggested_cookies, legalia_ordifolio_active, legalia_templates_notice. Actions: legalia_loaded, legalia_after_generate, legalia_wizard_step_after, legalia_overview_after.
Privacy
Ordifolio Legal Texts does not connect to external services, does not track users and does not send any data outside your site. It stores the data you enter in the wizard (owner details, contact details, processors, cookies) in the legalia_settings option of your database, and shows it in the legal pages you publish. The generated cookie policy contains links to browser help pages (Google, Mozilla, Apple, Microsoft); they are plain links and nothing is loaded from those sites.

Installation
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Go to Textos legales Asistente (setup wizard) and answer the questions.
- In the last step, confirm that the texts are guidance only and click Generar páginas legales (generate legal pages).
- Review the pages (created as drafts by default), have them checked by a legal professional and publish them.
- Optionally, enable the footer links on the Textos legales (legal texts) screen, or add the pages to your menus.

Does Ordifolio Legal Texts make my site compliant?

No plugin can guarantee legal compliance. The plugin helps you draft the texts; you remain responsible for them, for your cookie banner and for how your site actually processes data.

Do I need anything else next to my forms?

Yes. Next to each form that collects personal data, show a short data protection notice (controller, purpose, rights and a link to the privacy policy). The plugin generates the full privacy policy, not that notice.

Are the texts legally valid?

They are templates based on Spanish and EU regulations and on the data you enter. They are not legal advice and cannot replace a review by a professional who knows your business.

Is Ordifolio Legal Texts a legal service?

Ordifolio Legal Texts is software, not a law firm. Using it does not create any client-lawyer relationship and no legal advice is provided. The author does not review your texts.

Should the terms of sale go in the order email?

Yes, it is recommended. Spanish law requires the contract confirmation to be given on a durable medium (art. 98.7 TRLGDCU), so include the terms of sale, or a copy of them, in the order confirmation email.

What happens when the templates change?

When an update changes the legal texts, your pages show the new text and the admin shows a notice. Review the texts and generate the pages again: the “last updated” date changes then.

What happens when I change my data?

The pages show a dynamic block, so the new data appears immediately and the “last updated” date changes.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. The wizard offers terms of sale (condiciones de venta) for online shops and can add the usual WooCommerce cookies to the cookie table. Link the terms of sale and the privacy policy from your checkout.

Where does my NIF/CIF appear?

The NIF, CIF or NIE you enter in the wizard is shown in the aviso legal (legal notice) and, for shops, in the terms of sale, as article 10 of the LSSI-CE requires.

Does it handle Verifactu or invoices (facturas)?

No. Ordifolio Legal Texts only drafts legal texts. It does not issue invoices (facturas), does not send records to the AEAT and is not Verifactu invoicing software. Use a Verifactu-compatible invoicing tool for that; the legal texts of your shop are still needed alongside it.

No. It generates the cookie policy only. Use a consent tool if you use non-essential cookies.

In which language are the texts?

Both the admin screens and the legal texts are in Spanish, because the plugin is meant for websites subject to Spanish law. The interface strings can be translated on translate.wordpress.org.

What happens to the pages if I uninstall the plugin?

Uninstalling deletes the plugin settings. The pages are kept, but the legal text block no longer displays any text, so replace their content before uninstalling (for example, copy the text from the page preview).
