Verse Commerce COD Hub for WooCommerce

Description

Verse Commerce COD Hub provides an optional one-click Cash on Delivery order popup for WooCommerce product pages. The local quick checkout does not require a COD Verify account. The plugin also provides a store dashboard and an optional external COD verification connection.

Features:

  • Local WooCommerce COD quick order popup with live shipping methods, product variants, quantity, address and phone formatting.
  • Order synchronization with an external verification service only after administrator-initiated secure pairing.
  • Native WooCommerce classic and block checkout hooks, checkout notices and explicit order-specific WhatsApp opt-in.
  • WhatsApp verification and human calling through COD Verify, subject to separately configured provider, plan, customer permission and template eligibility.
  • Store-scoped status display, notification/template configuration, verification rates and sync health.
  • Optional hosted merchant plans, wallet funding and payment invoices controlled by COD Verify.
  • A support link to the COD Verify provider. No buyer details are transmitted just by clicking the support link.

The WooCommerce COD gateway must be enabled for COD checkout features. The remote verification features depend on the external service and may incur charges; a local checkout notice does not by itself authorize unsolicited WhatsApp messaging. Customer opt-in is unchecked by default.

External services and privacy

COD Verify: https://codverify.verseskill.com/ is a third-party order verification platform, operated separately from WordPress.org. Its privacy policy is https://codverify.verseskill.com/?page=privacy and help contact is https://wa.me/923198878997. The plugin does not transmit customer orders to COD Verify before a WordPress administrator explicitly pairs the store with the service.

After pairing, the merchant’s WooCommerce site exchanges HTTPS HMAC-signed requests with COD Verify to synchronize orders/products, read service settings and verification status, and request merchant actions. Transmitted data may include WooCommerce order ID, products/variations, order status, billing/shipping name, address, phone number, email if provided, shipping method, and order-specific WhatsApp contact permission. Notifications and calls may be delivered by separately configured communication providers through COD Verify, with their own applicable terms. Sensitive pairing credentials are stored in WordPress options; the plugin does not expose them to checkout JavaScript.

Hosted payments: Upon merchant action, COD Verify may redirect to its enabled card/PayPal payment providers, or create bank-transfer / USDT invoices. Payment confirmation is not automatic based on an uploaded screenshot; actual credit/plan activation requires successful verification by the service. Some verification and payment features depend on the merchant’s paid plan and service configuration.

QR image: When a merchant opens a USDT invoice, the browser loads a QR image from the external goQR.me service (https://api.qrserver.com/). That request sends the public receiving wallet address to the QR provider, not customers’ phone numbers or addresses. The QR provider’s documentation is https://goqr.me/api/ and its privacy page is https://goqr.me/privacy-safety-security/. Copying the address remains possible without the QR.

Merchants are responsible for applicable privacy notices and lawful customer consent. Uninstalling removes local connection options and does not erase historical records retained by the separate COD Verify service. Request remote deletion from the service operator.

Source code and build information

All PHP, JavaScript and CSS is included in this distributed plugin under GPLv2 or later. There are no external JavaScript dependencies, proprietary loaders, npm build processes, or compiled vendor libraries. The front-end checkout source uses browser-native JavaScript and WordPress enqueue APIs.

The compact production files assets/cod-popup.js and assets/cod-popup.css correspond to the human-readable, modifiable files src/cod-popup.js and src/cod-popup.css respectively. Both source files are included in this ZIP. The production files are formatting/whitespace-compressed equivalents, not obfuscated or functionally distinct editions.

To develop without any build tools, edit the source files and copy them to the corresponding assets/ files. WordPress serves the assets directly; no transpilation, bundling, tree shaking, or hidden build step is needed. The checkout JavaScript relies on standard modern browser features (including optional chaining). PHP 8.0 or later is required by the main plugin.

Installation

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce (6.4+ WordPress and PHP 8.0+ are required for this plugin).
  2. Upload this plugin via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or install it from the WordPress.org Plugin Directory after approval.
  3. Activate it and enable the WooCommerce Cash on Delivery gateway if using COD checkout.
  4. Configure WooCommerce > 1-Click Checkout to enable the optional product popup.
  5. Optionally visit WooCommerce > Verse Commerce COD Hub > Connection and explicitly pair to https://codverify.verseskill.com/ to enable remote features.
  6. Review customer contact permission settings, sender/provider templates, and plan entitlements before activating remote WhatsApp or human calling.

Do not activate this public-directory edition alongside the legacy cod-real-human-call-verfiy edition on the same WordPress installation: both implement the same PHP classes and store hooks. Deactivate the legacy plugin before switching. Connection options are stored under the same existing option keys; back up your site before migrating.

FAQ

Is COD Verify registration required for the local COD popup?

No. WooCommerce is required, but the local 1-click COD popup can be used without connecting to COD Verify. Remote verification requires explicit merchant pairing.

Does the plugin send a WhatsApp message to every new order?

No. Sending depends on merchant settings, order-specific customer permission, available sender/template and provider/service eligibility. It is not guaranteed simply because an order was placed.

Does it automatically approve payments or credit USDT screenshots?

No. Payment status and credit are verified independently by COD Verify. Screenshots alone do not establish settlement.

Will this version replace the previous legacy plugin automatically?

No. It has a new WordPress.org-compatible plugin folder and main filename. Do not activate both editions together.
