Description
Faktura1 for WooCommerce connects your store to the Faktura1 invoicing service.
A Faktura1 account and an API token with WooCommerce source are required.
The plugin is free. Service availability and charges depend on your Faktura1 plan.
Features:
- Create invoices and proformas manually from the order administration screen, with confirmation.
- Optionally create documents when configured WooCommerce order statuses change.
- Optionally create credit notes when orders are refunded.
- Map payment methods, payment statuses, VAT rates, units and languages using company-specific API lists.
- Map existing billing and order metadata fields for company name, registration number, VAT number and responsible person.
- Block company document creation when company name or registration number is missing.
- Display document numbers, dates and PDF links with orders.
- Delete eligible remote documents with confirmation, then remove their local references.
- Use WooCommerce order CRUD for both HPOS and legacy order storage.
The plugin does not add checkout fields. Configure existing fields or another checkout-field plugin to collect company details.
Custom metadata must be saved with the WooCommerce order. Checkout Blocks and classic checkout may save custom fields differently.

External services
This plugin uses the Faktura1 API, by default at https://api.faktura1.com/api/v1.
It sends no integration requests until a store administrator explicitly authorizes the service in WooCommerce > Faktura1.
When you save credentials and authorize the connection, opening the settings page or testing the connection sends the API token and requested language to retrieve your company’s nomenclatures and defaults. These settings are cached locally for five minutes.
Creating an invoice or proforma sends order identifiers, document dates, billing name and address, billing email, mapped company registration/VAT numbers and responsible-person details (when provided), products, shipping, fees, quantities, prices, taxes, totals, currency, payment method/status and document language to Faktura1. Creation is triggered manually or by configured order statuses when the integration is enabled.
Refund processing sends invoice/order/refund identifiers, refunded items and amounts. Payment updates send order identifiers and the mapped payment status. Deleting a document sends its Faktura1 document ID. Faktura1 may email the document to the billing email when the corresponding option is enabled.
API tokens are stored in WordPress options and transmitted as Bearer authentication over HTTPS. A custom public HTTPS API address can be configured; it receives the same data and must be trusted by the administrator. HTTP redirects are not followed. There is no telemetry, remote executable code or separate update service.

Installation
- Install and activate WooCommerce 10.0 or newer on WordPress 6.8 or newer with PHP 7.4 or newer.
- Install the plugin ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, then activate it.
- Sign in to Faktura1 and create an API integration with source WooCommerce. Give it the document scopes required by your workflow.
- As a WordPress administrator, open WooCommerce > Faktura1. Enter the API token, review the external-service disclosure and authorize the connection. Save the settings.

FAQ
-
Do I need a Faktura1 account?
-
Yes. An account and a valid company API token are required. This is a connector to the external service, not a standalone invoice generator.
-
Who can configure the plugin?
-
WordPress administrators with manage_options can configure credentials and mappings. Users with manage_woocommerce can use the order document actions.
-
Can I create documents manually only?
-
Yes. Clear both automatic creation status fields and disable automatic credit notes and payment updates. Document buttons remain available when the integration is enabled and authorized.
-
Does it support company invoices?
-
Yes. Map existing fields for company name and registration number; both are required for company invoices. VAT number and responsible person are optional. The plugin does not create new checkout inputs.
-
Does it work with HPOS?
-
The integration uses WC_Order CRUD and declares compatibility with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage. It also supports legacy order storage.
-
What happens when I delete a document?
-
After confirmation the plugin requests deletion in Faktura1. The local order reference is removed only after a successful response. Faktura1 business rules may refuse deletion, for example for an accounted document.
-
What data remains after uninstall?
-
Uninstall removes plugin settings, the stored API token and nomenclature caches for the current site. Order document references and financial documents in Faktura1 are retained. Optional technical logs follow WooCommerce’s log retention. Multisite installations must remove per-site settings individually; network-wide activation is not supported.
-
Are logs enabled by default?
-
No. Optional WooCommerce diagnostics contain technical identifiers and error codes, not API tokens, complete billing payloads or complete API responses. Orders retain document references and sanitized integration errors.
-
How do I upgrade from the original plugin folder?
-
Deactivate the copy in faktura1-woocommerce before activating the WordPress.org copy in faktura1-for-woocommerce. Do not activate both. Existing settings and order references use the same keys. Review and authorize the external service after upgrade.
