Toofast Catalog Connect

Description

Toofast Catalog Connect connects a merchant’s own Western Power Sports dealer account to WooCommerce through TooFast Web LLC. Browse the WPS catalog without importing its full product database or image library. Product details, current inventory and retail prices come from WPS through the hosted service. Photographs load from the WPS CDN.

Add [toofast_catalog] to a page, or use Create / locate parts page in WooCommerce > Toofast Catalog. Add the page to your site’s navigation. Browsing creates no WooCommerce products. Adding a part to a cart performs a fresh stock/price check and creates or updates one hidden native simple product. Native carts, orders, payment processing, taxes, coupons and shipping remain in WooCommerce. WooCommerce 9.6 or newer is required, including its remote-image support for Cart/Checkout Blocks. HPOS and classic checkout are supported. USD stores and US dropship destinations are supported.

Customers can search by part name or SKU, including words anywhere in the name. Search results use the merchant’s current WPS permissions, prices and stock. A compact search index contains no dealer costs or image files. If that index is unavailable, the catalog clearly identifies when searches match only the beginning of a name or SKU. Cached browsing results are kept separate for each store and pricing policy. Checkout and supplier-order checks request current data. Stock checks do not reserve supplier inventory.

Check your store before purchasing

Open Tools > TooFast Compatibility as a site administrator, before purchasing or connecting a dealer key. Local checks cover versions, OpenSSL, the HTTPS store URL, database/memory recommendations, Action Scheduler availability, currency, the saved catalog page and shipping/payment setup. Results distinguish required failures, items to review and untested behavior. They apply equally to all hosting providers. Tools > Site Health also shows the connector’s local prerequisite result.

The optional HTTPS test requires a separate checkbox and button. It makes one unauthenticated GET to the Toofast public health endpoint, disclosing the server IP and ordinary connection metadata, but no license, dealer key, customer, product or order data. No network test runs automatically. Results expire after ten minutes; requests are limited to one per minute per administrator. The copyable support report stays local until you choose to share it.

A pass is not a guarantee of capacity, theme/extension compatibility, scheduled-job execution, valid dealer permissions, supplier fulfillment or a successful real merchant payment. Follow the manual checkout and setup checks. TooFast hosting is optional and billed separately from Catalog Connect. Moving hosts, disconnecting or canceling either service does not automatically cancel the other.

Pricing rules and MAP protection

Choose MSRP, MSRP minus a percentage, or dealer cost plus a percentage. Brand rules take priority over supplier-category rules and then the store default. Selectors use WPS brand IDs and supplier product types; category names ignore case. API browsing, fresh cart checks and connected fulfillment use the same saved policy. Prices respect known MAP floors and are capped at MSRP. Missing required dealer cost, MAP or inventory makes a part unavailable. Dealer cost is not returned to the storefront.

Local MAP protection conservatively excludes whole protected items from native percentage, fixed-product, fixed-cart and stacked coupons. Other eligible products can still receive discounts. Final classic and Blocks cart checks enforce known merchandise MAP floors before tax/shipping. This does not interpret every brand agreement, gift card, negative-fee extension or external advertisement. Merchants remain responsible for supplier policies and can disable the local control.

Vehicle fitment

Enable API vehicle lookups if WPS has granted fitment permission to your dealer key. Select vehicle type, make, model and year, using actual WPS identities and vocabulary 7 classifications: ATV, off-road, street motorcycle, UTV/SxS, watercraft, snowmobile and scooter. The selection order follows the supplier’s model/year relationships. Each choice can submit the form without JavaScript. Partial selections do not silently show unrelated parts. A completed selection resolves a unique supplier vehicle and browses that vehicle’s item association. Product details show paginated live applications without importing all fitment associations into WordPress.

Missing permission and supplier failures show an unavailable message. Missing applications are unknown fitment, not proof of incompatibility or universal fit. Verify trim and supplier application notes before ordering. Fitment is not a checkout compatibility guarantee. Saved pre-0.1.7 local fitment remains available in native archives, [toofast_vehicle_filter] and legacy product tabs after disconnect; new API browsing requires paid access. Third-party product search engines and headless storefronts need their own integration.

Shipping and handling

Configure the optional Toofast WPS method in each supported WooCommerce zone before enabling dedicated WPS shipping. It supports base shipping, per-unit shipping, fixed and percentage handling, a free-shipping threshold and optional free-shipping coupons. Handling and thresholds use WPS merchandise after discounts, excluding tax/shipping. Handling remains unless explicitly waived. Native shipping tax rules apply.

Dedicated shipping splits supplier and local products into separate packages. WPS packages offer only matching Toofast methods; missing rates prevent selecting WPS shipping. Disabling the setting restores normal WooCommerce methods. These are merchant-configured customer charges, not live WPS freight quotes or supplier service selection. Supplier freight and dropship fees can differ; fulfillment currently requests BEST shipping.

Billing and access

The complete plugin source is GPLv2 or later and the download is free. The required external service costs USD 199 monthly or USD 1,999 annually per store. Annual access includes one initial assisted installation; monthly customers may add optional installation for USD 149 once. Self-installation has no extra charge. There is no free trial. Payment is due on subscribing; successful first payment is required. Plans renew automatically until canceled through billing. Failed paid renewals receive a three-day grace period. Supplier goods/freight, tax, hosting and payment processing are separate.

When paid access expires, API browsing, live refresh/checks and new dropship submissions stop. Existing WooCommerce products and orders remain under the merchant’s control, with their stored prices/stock and native purchasability. The merchant must arrange manual stock management and fulfillment without live verification. Existing tracking can still be requested while connected. Downloaded GPL code cannot provide tamper-proof local revocation; the hosted service enforces paid API access.

An approved Western Power Sports dealer account and API key are required. TooFast Web LLC is an independent provider, not Western Power Sports, WooCommerce or Automattic.

External services and data

Service API requests begin only after the merchant explicitly consents and connects in settings.

  • Toofast: https://wps.toofastweb.com. Activation sends the license and store URL for a store-bound token. Authorized calls send that token/store URL, dealer key when entered, pricing/settings, search terms, selected supplier filters/vehicle identifiers, item IDs, quantities and pagination cursors. Dealer keys are encrypted at rest. Order submission additionally sends the merchant order reference and recipient name, delivery address, phone and email. Tracking sends the order reference.
  • Western Power Sports: the hosted service uses https://api.wps-inc.com for the merchant’s catalog, vehicle relationships, stock and supplier orders, with their dealer key and required query/fulfillment data. Images load directly from https://cdn.wpsstatic.com in shoppers’ browsers, disclosing their IP address and usual browser request metadata to the CDN. Existing native product image URLs may continue loading after service disconnect; no new API lookup is made. See WPS privacy.
  • Stripe: merchant billing actions open checkout.stripe.com or billing.stripe.com. Toofast sends the merchant email, store reference and selected plan. Card details go directly to Stripe; the plugin does not collect card details. See Stripe privacy and Stripe terms.

Disconnect removes local authorization and requests deletion of the hosted dealer key. Disconnect/deactivation/uninstall do not cancel billing; cancel in billing separately. Uninstall preserves products, media, order history, the catalog page and supplier/legacy fitment indexes. Contact support for hosted data requests.

Installation

  1. Activate WooCommerce 9.6 or newer, with PHP 8.2/OpenSSL and USD currency.
  2. Install and activate Toofast Catalog Connect.
  3. Open WooCommerce > Toofast Catalog, review disclosures and connect with your store license and explicit consent.
  4. Complete your selected paid plan in Stripe, then enter your own dealer API key and pricing rules.
  5. Enable dealer-authorized vehicle lookup if wanted. Create a parts page or add [toofast_catalog] to an existing page; add it to navigation. No full import is required.
  6. Verify your catalog, MAP settings, shipping zones, taxes and cart/checkout. Configure dedicated WPS methods before enabling its split packages.
  7. Validate supplier freight and supervised fulfillment before enabling automatic supplier submissions. Automatic ordering is initially disabled.

FAQ

Will this load 120,000 products or images onto my site?

No. Catalog browsing uses the API and WPS image URLs. Only parts added to carts need native product records. The hosted service can use a small descriptive search index; that is separate from importing products or storing photographs.

What happens when WPS removes a part?

A confirmed missing-item response sets an existing owned WooCommerce product to zero stock with backorders disabled. Cart checks and a bounded background refresh of existing local records can detect removal. Outages, empty search pages and incomplete pagination do not prove removal. Products, prices, content and orders are preserved; returning parts recover from current supplier data. This does not require a complete supplier-catalog scan. Local record refresh runs through Action Scheduler; checkout has separate fresh validation.

What changes when upgrading from 0.1.6?

The upgrade stops old bulk import/image/fitment jobs and keeps existing merchant products, orders and saved associations. It does not delete or hide previously imported products. Create the API catalog page for new browsing. Previously saved media stays in the media library; new API parts use remote image URLs.

Can it cancel or refund a supplier order?

No. WooCommerce cancellation/refunds do not cancel supplier orders. Uncertain submissions enter review and are not automatically purchased twice. Coordinate changes with the supplier. Grouped variations, automated supplier cancellation/refunds and automatic tracking write-back are not included.
