Description
Aluvo Chat adds a chat button to your site. Visitors pick what they need, the chat walks them through the steps you set up, and every request lands in your WordPress dashboard and your inbox, with one-tap contact buttons for the channels you use.
Guided conversations
- Build your own forms from choices, typed answers, form fields, quantities and contact details.
- Start from a ready template, pick each form’s icon from a gallery, and watch a live preview as you edit.
- Reorder, duplicate or switch forms off without touching code.
- Visitors can go back a step, and every answer is checked again on the server.
- Unlimited forms and requests.
Every channel you use
- WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, LinkedIn, Discord, GitHub, email or a custom link, each with its own icon.
- Choose which appear as contact buttons when a visitor wants a person, and up to three for the bar under the conversation.
- WhatsApp and email open with the visitor’s request already written.
Nothing gets lost
- Every request is saved in WordPress first, then emailed to you.
- An overview page shows requests per day, top forms and countries.
Looks the way you want
- Colour themes, gradient themes, or your own colours and gradient, and a choice of fonts.
- Five button animations (Spinning border, Floating, Ripple rings, Comet, Hello wave), three button shapes, six border types (gradient, solid, dashed, dotted, double, neon), and an inside colour or gradient of your choice (or transparent), with a live preview on a light page, a dark page and a phone.
- Separate size and position for phones; the closed button sits under your theme’s menu and pop-ups.
- The chat is drawn in its own isolated layer, so your theme cannot break it and it cannot break your theme.
Your language
- Follows the language set in WordPress, including right-to-left languages, and can be translated into any language.
Private and secure
- Every post from the chat carries a short-lived signed token; request tokens work once.
- Posts from other websites, oversized bodies and non-JSON bodies are refused.
- Limits per visitor and daily ceilings for the whole site.
- IP addresses are used only for limits and never stored. WordPress’s Export and Erase Personal Data tools cover chat requests.
Aluvo Chat Pro
Everything above is free and unlimited. The optional Pro add-on adds live chat (answer visitors yourself, right in the chat window, while you are online), AI answers with your own Claude or OpenAI key, ready answers with trigger words in several languages, products and categories (your own or linked live from WooCommerce, with price, offer, tags and a buy button), five more button animations, and Custom CSS with a guide to every selector. External services
Aluvo Chat works without any outside service. The services below are used only when you turn them on, or when a visitor taps a button that leads to them.
Google Fonts
Used only if you choose a Google Font under Customize -> Appearance (the default, “System font”, loads nothing). The visitor’s browser then downloads the font from Google, which receives the visitor’s IP address and browser details like any web request.

Contact channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Discord, GitHub)
Nothing is sent to any of them by the plugin. When a visitor taps one of your contact buttons, their device opens that service’s link (for WhatsApp, a wa.me link with the message filled in) and they choose what to do there.

Yes. Add
data-aluvo-opento any link or button, for example<a href="#" data-aluvo-open>Contact us</a>. -

Changelog
2.3.1
- A new send icon: a solid, rounded arrow that sits centred in the send button, in the chat, on the form’s submit button and in the Appearance preview.
2.3.0
- The form builder guides you: each template explains what it does, and a “Finish setting up” list shows what is still missing (a payment link, example choices to replace, an unnamed field) and takes you straight to it. Steps show what they hold, and the ones that need something are marked.
- Quick order: list what you sell with a price, a short description and its own payment link. Visitors pick one, see it with its price and pay in a tap. Replaces the Pay link template.
- Any choice can carry a small “View” link, for example to a product’s page.
- Short label and “Show this step only if” moved under “More options” in each step.
- Product category and product steps now come with the Pro add-on, where your products live.
2.2.0
- Seven new kinds of question for your forms: Checkboxes, Yes or no, Rating (1 to 5 stars), Slider (for a budget or any number), Appointment (a free day and time from your hours), Consent (a box they must tick, with a link to your policy) and a Payment or link button.
- Show a step only when an earlier answer matches, e.g. ask for a date only if they have a deadline.
- New form templates: Custom form, Pay link, Step by step, Poll, Custom fields and We will contact you. Book an appointment now uses the new appointment step.
- Name and email can be optional on a form, for polls and feedback.
- Contact channels are optional: the overview no longer warns when WhatsApp is not set, and “Talk to our team” only offers buttons you have set up.
2.1.0
- Add-ons can extend the chat window: add buttons beside the contact buttons, and carry on a conversation in the message box. Aluvo Chat Pro uses this for live chat.
- Add-ons can add their own pages to the plugin’s tabs.
2.0.0
- New name: Aluvo Chat (formerly Aivanta Chat).
- Custom CSS moves to the Pro add-on. The free plugin keeps every design option: themes, gradients, shapes, borders and animations.
1.8.0
- Five button animations are now free: Spinning border, Floating, Ripple rings, Comet and Hello wave.
- The other five, the animation colour and the phone animation come with the Pro add-on, which now carries their code.
- “Get Pro” links go to https://digidev.pro/aluvo-chat.
1.7.0
- Live preview of the open chat window under Appearance, beside the button and phone previews. It follows every colour and gradient as you change it.
- Pro animations and the phone animation can be previewed on Free before choosing Pro; they are not saved without it.
- The Pro screens show a picture of how they look with Pro.
- Redesigned section bar on Customize and Forms.
1.6.0
- Border types for the chat button: gradient, solid, dashed, dotted, double and neon.
- A gradient inside the button, beside the theme colour, your own colour or transparent.
- Your own animation colour, and a separate animation for phones, or none (with Pro).
- Five new animations in Pro: Heartbeat, Breathing glow, Attention bounce, Orbit and Shine sweep.
- The Floating animation no longer shows a dark edge under the button.
1.5.0
- Forms page redesigned: a three-column builder with a live preview, ready templates, a step gallery, an icon picker and a short guide.
- Products & categories and Answers moved under Forms.
- Gradient colour themes, plus your own two-colour gradient on the header, buttons and visitor messages.
- Choose the colour inside the chat button, or make it transparent.
- Product cards in the chat show price, sale price, offer, tags, more details and a button (with Pro).
- Fixed: a quote mark typed in a form question no longer breaks saving.
1.4.0
- Contact channels: WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Discord, GitHub, email and a custom link, with icons. Choose the contact buttons and up to three for the bottom bar.
- Free and Pro: AI answers, ready answers, products and categories and button animations move to the Aluvo Chat Pro add-on.
- Follows the WordPress language, with right-to-left layout and translations.
- Default settings now follow a change of site language.
- An optional “Powered by” link, off until you switch it on.
1.3.1
- New name and logo, and a clean default template.
- Two copies of the plugin active at once no longer crash the site.
- The dashboard menu keeps the plugin’s name when the assistant is renamed.

- The chat stays fixed to the screen even when the theme transforms the page.
- Phone settings moved into Appearance, with a live phone preview.
- Custom CSS with a selector guide.
