Privacy
Booking details (name, email, phone, and special requests) stay in your WordPress database. The plugin displays them in your dashboard. Notification emails use your site’s mail service.
The final setup step offers an optional FarmTours marketing email subscription. The checkbox is off by default. The request occurs only after explicit consent.
After consent, the plugin sends the stored business email to FarmTours. FarmTours stores the consent timestamp, consent text version, and wordpress-setup-wizard source. FarmTours sends the email to MailerLite for subscription management and double opt-in confirmation.
The subscription request does not send the site URL, administrator name, WordPress version, or telemetry. The MailerLite API key stays on the FarmTours server.

FAQ
-
How do I take tour bookings on my farm website?
-
Install and activate the plugin, then follow the setup wizard. It walks you through your first tour and creates the tours, checkout, and confirmation pages. Visitors then book on your site: they pick a date and time (or the event date) and the number of guests.
-
Can I run U-pick, workshop, or class reservations?
-
Yes. Use a continuous tour for recurring visits such as U-pick sessions, with time slots on the days you choose. Use a specific-date tour for a one-time workshop, class, or festival. Each tour has its own price and a maximum number of guests per booking.
-
Do I need WooCommerce?
-
No. FarmTours Bookings works standalone. Payment processing is handled by pluggable gateways; the built-in manual/offline gateway assumes payment is collected outside the plugin.
-
Can I charge for bookings?
-
Yes. Each tour has a price per person, and the booking form calculates the total as you choose your guest count. Bookings track a paid/unpaid status so you know what has been collected. Real online payments (Stripe, M-Pesa) are planned for Farm Tours Pro.
-
Can visitors book without creating an account?
-
Yes. FarmTours Bookings uses guest checkout — visitors fill in their name, email, and phone and book immediately. No user accounts required on your site.
-
Can a tour repeat on specific days?
-
Yes, with two tour types: continuous tours let you pick recurring days of the week with auto-generated time slots (slot interval is configurable per tour), and specific-date tours are for one-time events like harvest festivals.
-
What happens after someone books?
-
The visitor gets a confirmation page link and a confirmation email, and you get an admin alert — both emails are fully customizable with 20 placeholders (tour name, date, time, guests, total, etc.). The booking appears in your dashboard and on the bookings calendar immediately.
-
How do visitors view their booking?
-
After submitting, the visitor gets a confirmation page URL and an email link containing a unique, unguessable token. The token protects the booking details — visitors can view and check status without an account.
-
Can I customize the booking form?
-
Yes! The booking form uses standard HTML/CSS that you can style with your theme or custom CSS.
-
Will it work with my theme?
-
Yes. Tours and booking forms are embedded with shortcodes that render standard HTML/CSS, so they work with classic and block themes alike. Tour settings also live in a Gutenberg editor sidebar panel.
