o_OKak Staff Commission

Description

o_OKak Staff Commission helps appointment-based businesses calculate and review provider compensation from completed work recorded in Amelia.

Staff Commission Lite is a complete, unlimited free plugin. It includes:

  • Monthly provider compensation totals.
  • Provider default percentage rules.
  • Full-price or price-excluding-tax compensation basis.
  • Effective-dated rate history so later changes do not rewrite earlier work.
  • Protected historical Amelia source facts for completed procedures.
  • Multi-location reporting and filtering when Amelia records appointment locations.
  • Exact financial arithmetic and fail-closed handling when required source or tax facts are unresolved.
  • Fixed Lite package-discount handling: the business absorbs package discounts when Lite calculates compensation.
  • Current-month calculation coverage and clear Ready, Partial and Pending states.

Staff Commission reads Amelia data and stores its compensation configuration and protected history in separate o_OKak tables. It does not modify Amelia core files and does not write compensation back into Amelia.

Lite and Pro

Lite contains only the free product runtime. Commercial licensing and Pro-only calculation, configuration, Analytics, export and statement code are not included in the WordPress.org package.

Staff Commission Pro is distributed separately by o_OKak and replaces the same o-okak-staff-commission plugin directory in place. Lite and Pro use the same plugin directory and preserve Staff Commission data when one replaces the other. Lite calculates only its free provider-default rule model; Pro-only rule semantics are implemented only in the separately distributed Pro package.

Pro adds:

  • Procedure-level calculation audit and explanations.
  • Location, category, category-plus-location and service compensation overrides.
  • Monthly turnover rate tiers.
  • Effective-dated inherited package-discount policies.
  • Analytics and period comparison.
  • CSV export.
  • Printable provider statements.
  • Salon Retained reporting.

Lite has no trial timer, usage quota or expiring free period.

Lite never downloads, installs or updates to Pro. Pro must be obtained separately from o_OKak and manually installed by a WordPress administrator.

Privacy

The WordPress.org Lite package does not send usage analytics, telemetry or license checks to o_OKak.

Links to documentation or Pro plans open o-0kak.com only after an administrator chooses them.

Amelia dependency

Staff Commission requires an active Amelia installation because Amelia supplies the appointments, providers, services and related source data used for compensation.

The WordPress plugin dependency slug is ameliabooking. Amelia’s free and commercial packages use the ameliabooking plugin directory.

Amelia is a third-party product. o_OKak Staff Commission is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amelia or its publisher.

Installation

  1. Install and activate Amelia if it is not already installed.
  2. Install and activate o_OKak Staff Commission.
  3. Open o_OKak > Team.
  4. Choose a team member, enter the percentage, select whether it is calculated from the full price or the price excluding tax, and choose the first day the rate applies.
  5. When a rate changes, save the new rate from its first day. Staff Commission keeps the earlier version in Rate history automatically.
  6. Repeat for team members whose completed work needs compensation coverage.
  7. Open o_OKak > Compensation and choose a month to review the calculation.

If Lite replaces an existing Pro installation, Staff Commission data remains stored, but Lite does not interpret Pro-only rule or package-policy semantics. Reinstall Pro to review periods that depend on Pro-only configuration.

Always validate compensation settings against your own provider agreements, tax treatment and operating process before relying on a report operationally.

FAQ

Does Lite stop working after a trial period?

No. Lite has no trial timer, usage quota or paid unlock for functionality contained in the WordPress.org package.

Does Staff Commission change Amelia data?

No. Staff Commission reads Amelia as its booking source and stores o_OKak compensation configuration/history separately. It does not modify Amelia core code or write compensation back into Amelia.

Which Amelia work counts for compensation?

Staff Commission uses approved Amelia bookings whose appointment has ended. Customer payment or deposit timing is not the compensation trigger.

How do I change a team member’s percentage?

Open o_OKak > Team, choose the team member, enter the new percentage and select the first day it should apply. Save the rate from that date. The previous rate stays in Rate history, and completed work continues to use the rate that applied on its own date.

What happens if Amelia changes after a procedure was completed?

Staff Commission protects the recorded Amelia facts used for completed procedures. Later Amelia changes can apply to later procedures, including later procedures in the same month, without silently rewriting earlier compensation history.

Does Staff Commission support multiple Amelia locations?

Yes. Lite can report and filter completed work by the recorded Amelia location. Pro additionally supports effective-dated location and category-plus-location compensation rules.

Location filtering does not create a separate rounding calculation. Staff Commission first calculates authoritative provider compensation and then allocates already-rounded compensation to location views so the totals reconcile.

What happens to my data if I later install Pro?

Pro uses the same plugin directory and shared Staff Commission data model. It is designed to replace Lite in place, preserving Staff Commission settings and history.

What happens if I later return from Pro to Lite?

Shared Staff Commission data remains. Lite uses only its provider-default calculation model and does not execute Pro-only rule or package-policy logic. Reinstall Pro to review historical periods that depend on Pro-only configuration.

Does Lite send data to o_OKak?

No automatic telemetry, analytics or license checks are sent by the WordPress.org Lite package. Administrator-initiated documentation and Pro links open the o_OKak website in the browser.

Is Staff Commission payroll software?

No. Staff Commission calculates and explains provider compensation. It does not make bank payments, run payroll, or require a month-close / approve / paid workflow.
