Description
Chatterbell puts a friendly live chat on your website. AI that has actually read your site answers the easy questions in seconds, and your phone buzzes the moment a customer needs a real person.
- One-click setup. Click Connect, sign in (or create a free account) and the chat button is live.
- AI answers from your own website. It hands over to you when it isn’t sure, and never makes things up.
- Answer from anywhere. A shared inbox in your browser, plus free Mac and Windows apps. iPhone and Android apps are coming soon.
- Looks like yours. Your colours, logo and button icon.
- No cookie banner needed. The chat stores nothing in a visitor’s browser until they start a chat.
- Hosted in the UK and EU. Prices in pounds, with a free plan.
External services
This plugin loads the Chatterbell chat button from https://chatterbell.com/w.js on your site’s pages, and sends visitors’ chat messages to Chatterbell when they use the chat. Connecting sends your site’s address and name to Chatterbell so you can choose which business to connect.

FAQ
-
Is it free?
-
Yes, there’s a free plan. Paid plans remove the Chatterbell advert and add your team, more AI answers and more. See https://chatterbell.com/pricing.
-
Does it slow my site down?
-
No. The chat button is a small script that loads after your page, and the full chat only loads when a visitor opens it.
-
What data does it send?
-
Only when a visitor starts a chat: their messages, the page they’re on and basic device details, so you can help them. See https://chatterbell.com/privacy.
