Qtyra Quote Requests & Catalog Mode for WooCommerce

Description

Some products should not show a price. Wholesale lines, custom jobs, anything you quote by hand. Qtyra Quote Requests hides the price and the Add to Cart button, puts a Request a Quote button in their place, and gives you a tidy inbox for every request.

When you and the customer agree on a number, one click turns the request into a real WooCommerce order and emails them a link to pay. No copying and pasting between emails, spreadsheets and invoices.

Why store owners pick it

  • The price is really hidden. Not just tucked out of sight on the product page. It is also removed from the block cart and checkout, from the WooCommerce Store API and from the structured data Google reads.
  • It fits your theme. The button and the popup hold their own styling in Twenty Twenty-Five, Storefront, Astra, GeneratePress, Blocksy, Neve and Hello Elementor, on shop pages, categories, search, shortcodes and blocks.
  • Your colours, your corners. Pick the accent colour, popup background and roundness, then watch a live preview while you tweak them.
  • From request to payment in one place. Type the agreed prices and shipping, press one button, and the customer gets a WooCommerce payment link.

What you get for free

Catalog mode

  • Hide prices or replace them with your own text, for example “Call us for pricing”.
  • Hide Add to Cart, or swap it for a Request a Quote button.
  • Apply it store-wide, or only to chosen categories, tags or products. Exclusions work too.
  • Different rules for guests, customers and any custom role.
  • Switch to quote mode automatically when a price is empty, a product is out of stock or on backorder, or when the quantity reaches a limit you set.
  • Override any single product: follow the global rule, always quote, or always sell.
  • Keep stock status visible while the price stays hidden.
  • Optionally let administrators see normal prices, so you can work on the shop without the catalog getting in your way.

Quote requests

  • A Request a Quote button on product pages and shop loops, plus the [qtyra_button] shortcode.
  • A multi-product quote list for guests and logged-in customers, with a dedicated page, the [qtyra_quote_list] shortcode and two blocks for the editor.
  • Variable products work properly: the button waits until the customer has picked the options.
  • A built-in form with name, email, phone, company and notes. Labels and required fields are yours to change.
  • Spam protection without extra plugins: a hidden honeypot field and rate limiting, plus optional Cloudflare Turnstile and a privacy checkbox for GDPR.

Managing quotes

  • Every request lands in a Quotes screen with customer details, items, answers and an internal notes log.
  • Turn a request into a WooCommerce order with your own line prices, shipping method and fee. The customer pays through a secure link.
  • Customer and admin emails are standard WooCommerce emails, so you edit them where you already edit the rest.
  • CSV export and a dashboard widget for requests that still need an answer.

Works with your setup

Classic and block themes, the block cart and checkout, HPOS, RTL languages and translation files. Page caching is handled: an expired nonce is refreshed on its own, and pages that show a private quote link are never cached.

Want more? Try Qtyra Quote Requests Pro

The free plugin is complete, not a trial. Pro is for shops where quoting is a daily job and you want it to run with less typing.

  • Negotiation thread. Customers reply with counter-offers and questions on their quote page. You answer and apply the agreed price in one click.
  • Offer expiry and reminders. Set a deadline and let the plugin nudge customers who went quiet.
  • Auto-offers. Answer standard requests instantly with rule-based discounts.
  • Rules matrix. Combine role, category, tag, product, price range, country and dates, with priorities.
  • Approved price lists. An accepted quote becomes the customer’s price for their next orders.
  • PDF quotes with your logo, case-pack quantities, CSV price import and conversion analytics.
  • Team tools. Assign quotes to sales reps, send signed webhooks and Slack or Telegram alerts, and use the REST API or WP-CLI.

Also from PlugStack: Qtyra Quantity Rules & Tiered Pricing adds minimum, maximum and step quantities and volume discounts. The two plugins work together.

External services

This plugin can talk to two outside services. Both are optional.

Freemius

Freemius handles the optional opt-in usage tracking, Pro licence activation and Pro updates. Nothing is sent unless you click “Allow & Continue” on the activation screen or enter a Pro licence key. If you click “Skip”, the plugin works fully and never contacts Freemius. After you opt in, the plugin sends your site URL, the WordPress, PHP, WooCommerce and plugin versions, the site language, and the administrator’s name and email address to api.freemius.com. It does this when you opt in and later from time to time to check licences and updates.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Off by default. It is only used if you enter your own Turnstile site key and secret key under WooCommerce > Settings > Quotes & Catalog > Form & Anti-Spam. Then the quote form loads the Turnstile script from challenges.cloudflare.com in the visitor’s browser, and your server sends the Turnstile response token and the visitor’s IP address to challenges.cloudflare.com to verify it. This happens whenever the form is shown and submitted.

Provided by Cloudflare, Inc. Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. More about the service: Cloudflare Turnstile.

Pro only: webhooks, Slack and Telegram

The Pro version can post quote notifications to webhook, Slack or Telegram addresses that you enter yourself. Nothing is sent until you add one.

Installation

  1. Install and activate the plugin. WooCommerce must be active.
  2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Quotes & Catalog and turn on Catalog Mode. It starts switched off, so nothing changes in your shop until you do.
  3. Open a product page to see the result. If you switch on the administrator exemption, view the shop while logged out or in a private window.

FAQ

I activated it but I can still see prices.

Two things to check. Catalog Mode is off until you switch it on under WooCommerce > Settings > Quotes & Catalog. And if you enabled the administrator exemption, you see normal prices while logged in, so check the shop logged out or in a private window. The admin bar shows a small Qtyra note that explains why a product looks the way it does.

Do I need a form plugin?

No. The request form is built in, with spam protection.

How does the customer pay?

You enter the agreed prices and shipping on the quote, then create the order. WooCommerce makes a pending order and the customer gets an email with a secure link to the normal payment page. The cart is not involved, so your custom prices and shipping stay exactly as you set them.

Does it work with the block cart and checkout?

Yes. The rules are checked on the server, including the WooCommerce Store API, so a hidden product cannot be added to the cart by a direct request.

Will Google or the Store API still show my prices?

No. When Catalog Mode hides a price, it is also removed from the schema.org data on the page and from public Store API responses.

Does it work with caching and AJAX filters?

Yes. The button brings its own script and popup, and a stale cached nonce is refreshed automatically. If your theme loads products with AJAX, for example quick view or infinite scroll, turn on “Load Scripts on Every Page” under Quotes & Catalog > Advanced.

Will it slow my shop down?

It is light. Scripts load only where a quote control appears, and rule results are cached for the length of each request.

Can I use it with Qtyra Quantity Rules & Tiered Pricing?

Yes. If that plugin is active, the quote list follows its minimum, maximum and step rules and shows its tier prices next to each product. Without it, nothing extra is loaded.

Emails are not arriving.

WordPress sends mail the same way for every plugin, and many hosts block it. A mail plugin such as WP Mail SMTP fixes that for most shops.

Where do I get help?
