Description
Tedrix does the SEO work on your WordPress site. It finds what holds your pages back in Google and in AI answers like ChatGPT, such as cut-off titles, missing descriptions, missing structured data and blocked AI crawlers. Then it writes the fix in your site’s own voice. It also emails you when a page starts losing visitors.
You choose the level, per site
- Watch only: Tedrix reads your Google search data every week and emails you when a page starts losing visitors.
- Approve each fix: Tedrix writes the new titles, descriptions, text, FAQ or structured data, and nothing changes on your site until you approve it.
- Autopilot: Tedrix publishes the fix to WordPress itself and emails you every change with an undo in one click, then measures it after four weeks and rolls it back on its own if the numbers went down.
Every change is measured after four weeks. It works with your current SEO plugin, or with none. The levels are part of a paid Tedrix account.
Free in this plugin, no account
To get started, the plugin includes a free check of your titles, descriptions and AI readiness inside WordPress, with no account. You find it under Tools Tedrix check.
Google and AI check (one click)
Press “Check my site” and the home page is checked the way Google and AI assistants read it:
- Whether robots.txt shuts out AI crawlers such as ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity
- Whether WordPress itself asks search engines to stay away
- Whether the text is there without JavaScript
- Whether the page answers something early, and has contact details and prices as text
- Whether the page states who you are in structured data
- Whether your company name can be found in public registers
Titles and descriptions (runs locally)
The plugin reads your published posts and pages and lists the ones that show up wrong in Google:
- Titles longer than 60 characters, which Google cuts off
- Pages with no meta description, where Google writes its own
- Descriptions over 155 characters, which get cut, or under 70, which waste the space
- Two or more pages sharing the same title, competing with each other
Each row links straight to the editor. It reads whichever SEO plugin you already use (Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress or The SEO Framework), including their title variables, so it reflects what actually gets sent to Google. Pages set to noindex are skipped, since they never show in search results.
No account and no signup are needed for either check.
How fixes reach your site
When you connect a Tedrix account under Settings Tedrix, this plugin is what applies the fixes:
- Every change is approved by you in Tedrix first, or by the autopilot you switched on.
- Requests are signed with a secret that lives only on this site and in your Tedrix account. Unsigned or mismatched requests are rejected.
- Each change is saved as a normal WordPress revision, and the previous state is stored so a revert restores exactly what was there.
- Only whitelisted fields are touched: title, meta description, content and structured data.
- The description is written to the SEO plugin you use. With no SEO plugin, the plugin prints the approved description in the page head itself.
External services
This plugin connects to the Tedrix service, operated by Tedrix (Sweden), in two situations. Swedish-language admins are sent to tedrix.se and everyone else to tedrix.io; it is the same service. Nothing is sent before you take one of the actions below.
- Google and AI check. When you press “Check my site” under Tools Tedrix check, the plugin sends your site’s home address and your admin language to
https://tedrix.io/api/wp/kontroll(orhttps://tedrix.se/api/wp/kontrollfor Swedish admins). The service fetches your public home page and robots.txt, and looks up the company name in public registers (Allabolag, Hitta, Wikipedia), then returns the result. The address is stored for at most 14 days to check that the results are correct, and is never used to contact you. - Connected account (optional). If you enter a Site ID and secret under Settings Tedrix, the Tedrix service sends signed requests to this site’s REST API (
/wp-json/tedrix/v1/) to apply or revert changes you approved. The plugin answers those requests; it does not send your content elsewhere.
The titles and descriptions check makes no external requests.

FAQ
-
Do I need an account?
-
No. Both checks work without an account. The account is only needed if you want Tedrix to apply approved fixes for you.
-
What is sent to Tedrix?
-
Only when you press “Check my site”: your home address and admin language. See “External services” above. The titles and descriptions check reads your own database and sends nothing.
-
Does it work with my SEO plugin?
-
Yes. The check reads the title and description from Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress or The SEO Framework, whichever is installed. With no SEO plugin it uses the post title, and WordPress itself prints no description.
-
It opens Tedrix, the paid service, where you can start a free trial. Tedrix writes a new title and description for the page, you approve it, and it is applied here. Nothing on your site changes before you approve. The checks in this plugin stay free either way.
-
Will it change anything by itself?
-
No. The checks only read and report. Nothing is modified unless you connect an account and approve a change in Tedrix.
-
Why does the check say my site runs on a local address?
-
A site on localhost or a private network can’t be fetched from the internet. The Google and AI check works once the site is online; the titles check works everywhere.
-
How many pages does the titles check cover?
-
The 300 most recently modified posts and pages, so it stays fast on large sites.
