Description
Devoynx Rewards is a free WooCommerce points and rewards plugin. Customers earn points from purchases, signup and approved verified-purchase reviews, see earning estimates before checkout, track their balance and progress toward membership levels and achievement badges in My Account, and redeem available points at checkout. Merchants can enable basic referrals, a single spin campaign and verified guest purchase claims. No license key or paid account is required for these Free features.
Earn and redeem points
- Set purchase earning and redemption values, award status and optional point expiry.
- Configure product and category earning overrides or exclusions.
- Show approximate points to earn on product, cart and checkout pages, including Cart and Checkout Blocks.
- Customize the storefront earning heading, estimate, selection, no-points, timing and guest messages with safe points and status placeholders.
- Redeem points at classic and Blocks checkout. Unpaid reservations are released after failed or cancelled orders; refunds adjust earned and redeemed points.
- Give customers a wallet and transaction history. Merchants can search balances and transactions and make audited manual adjustments.
Grow customer engagement
- Basic referral links and codes reward the inviter and friend after the first qualifying paid order, subject to eligibility and refund rules.
- Optional guest purchase claims use email verification after account sign-in.
- Configure multiple membership levels based on net lifetime points earned. Customers see their current level and progress in the wallet. Levels do not multiply earnings or change prices.
- Create separate achievement badges based on net points earned or used. Badges show progress but do not award points or have a cash value.
- Run one optional spin campaign with server-selected outcomes, visible odds and account/campaign limits. No purchase is required to spin.
- Award points on eligible previous orders with a dry-run preview and duplicate protection.
- Enable editable earned, redeemed and referral email receipts. Customers can opt out of optional reward emails.
The My Account Rewards page and [devoynx_rewards_wallet] shortcode display customer information. The plugin uses WooCommerce HPOS-compatible order access. Devoynx Rewards Pro is a separate optional add-on; it is not needed for these Free features.
Important: configure one store currency. Multi-currency conversion is not included. Test third-party gateways, pricing plugins and custom product builders on staging. Grouped products display earning estimates after individual items are added to the cart.
Privacy
Devoynx Rewards Free does not send telemetry or customer data to Devoynx and does not connect to a licensing service. Optional reward and verification messages use the store’s configured WordPress email transport, which may involve the provider chosen by the merchant.
The plugin stores customer IDs, balances, ledger transactions, order/refund references, reward settings and timestamps locally. Optional features also store referral and guest-claim state, spin outcomes and limits, email-attempt records, and backfill checkpoints. Guest verification codes are stored as short-lived hashes. The customer export includes rewards activity; erasure may retain accounting and duplicate-protection records, so merchants should explain their retention policy in their store privacy notice.
Deactivation retains balances and settings. Uninstall retains rewards data by default. A separate merchant opt-in setting permanently deletes Free-owned data on uninstall; back up first. Refer to the in-plugin privacy guidance for the full data and retention details.

Installation
- Install and activate WooCommerce 8.5 or newer. Confirm that your database supports InnoDB transactions.
- Install and activate Devoynx Rewards from Plugins > Add New, or upload the Free plugin ZIP.
- Go to WooCommerce > Devoynx Rewards > Settings. Set earning and redemption values, award status, and any optional rewards.
- Open My Account > Rewards to see the customer wallet. For another page, use
[devoynx_rewards_wallet]. - Test earning, redemption, failed payment, cancellation and partial refund on a staging store before enabling the programme for customers.
Customer accounts are required to hold and redeem points. Guest purchase claims, when enabled, require sign-in and verification of the purchase billing email. Your store’s email transport must work for verification codes.
FAQ
-
Does the Free plugin require Pro or a license?
-
No. Free points, referrals, badges, guest claims and the other features listed here operate without Pro or a license connection.
-
When do customers receive purchase points?
-
At the order status selected by the merchant. Points shown before purchase are estimates and can change with cart contents, coupons, eligibility and the final order.
-
Can customers use points at checkout?
-
Yes, in supported classic and Cart/Checkout Blocks flows. Points are reserved for an unpaid discounted order, redeemed after qualifying payment or status confirmation, and released if the unpaid order fails or is cancelled.
-
How do referrals work?
-
A new customer accepts a referral link or code before a paid purchase. The first eligible paid order can reward both customers. Self-referrals, duplicate awards and ineligible orders are excluded. Cash refunds can reverse referral rewards. Merchants configure reward values and the minimum qualifying cash order total.
-
Can guest shoppers earn points?
-
If Guest claims are enabled, an eligible paid guest order can be claimed within the merchant’s configured window. The customer must sign in and verify access to the order’s billing email; matching an email address alone does not award points.
-
Are levels and badges the same as VIP multipliers?
-
No. Recognition levels and achievement badges display progress but do not add earning multipliers or bonus points. Merchants can add, reorder, edit and remove the definitions they need.
-
Can points be added for old orders?
-
The merchant can preview eligible previous orders and then run a bounded backfill. Existing awards are not duplicated. Backfill uses current earning rules rather than historical rates.
-
Does this work with all themes, gateways and currencies?
-
It supports standard WooCommerce templates and product/cart/checkout blocks. Custom builders may need
[devoynx_rewards_earning]on product templates. Multi-currency conversion is not included. Test your specific theme, payment gateway and third-party pricing extensions on staging. -
Where can I get support?
-
Email support@devoynx.com, or use the WordPress.org support forum once the plugin is listed. Include the plugin, WordPress and WooCommerce versions and clear reproduction steps. Do not send passwords, payment details or unredacted customer records.
