Description
Your online store, live this afternoon.
You make, repair, create or work to order. You don’t need a complicated system with 40 settings screens. You need to show your products, get paid, and answer the customers who want something made to measure. That is exactly what Torlann does.
One store, two ways to sell. Products with a price go straight to the cart and checkout. Custom work gets a “Request a quote” button. Sell online, take quote requests, or do both, for the whole store or product by product.
A setup assistant guides you from an empty site to a published store in a few steps. Start with a sample catalog or import your products from a CSV file.
Sell online, without the hassle
- Products with variants: sizes, colors, materials. Unlimited products, categories and attributes.
- Cart and secure checkout: a clean cart, a side cart drawer and a simple checkout, ready on mobile.
- Clear delivery: set your zones and rates, or offer click & collect.
- All your orders in one place, with automatic confirmation emails.
Handle custom work with quotes
Not everything has a fixed price. Turn on the quote form: your customers describe their project, you receive the request, you reply with a quote, and you follow everything in a dedicated dashboard.
A good-looking store from day one
Pick a ready-made style and your storefront is ready. Fast system fonts by default, and 5 Gutenberg blocks (Products, Product, Cart, Checkout, Quote form) to place each element wherever you want.
Made for France and beyond
French company lookup by SIRET to pre-fill your legal details, VAT and currency set by country, and an interface translated into 15 languages (including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese).
Honest and respectful of your data
- No Torlann account, no license key, no hidden calls to our servers.
- Your orders and customers stay on your own site.
- The free version is a complete store, not a demo.

External services
Torlann Free contacts external services only when an administrator or visitor uses the related feature or the administrator explicitly enables it:
- French company lookup (SIRET): the site server requests
https://recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr/only after an administrator enters a valid 14-digit SIRET and starts a lookup. The query sends that SIRET and ordinary server request metadata (including the site server IP); results are cached locally for one day. API documentation and usage information: API Recherche d’entreprises. Data source: Base Sirene. Privacy information from the service operator (DINUM): data.gouv.fr privacy policy. - Google Fonts (optional storefront fonts): when an administrator selects a non-system font, each visitor’s browser requests a stylesheet from
fonts.googleapis.comand font files fromfonts.gstatic.com. Google receives ordinary connection data such as the visitor IP address and browser request headers. System fonts are the default. The font catalogue is bundled; server-side metadata refresh is disabled by default and requires thetorlann_google_fonts_remote_refreshdeveloper filter. Terms: Google APIs Terms of Service. Privacy: Google Privacy Policy and Google Fonts FAQ. - Google reCAPTCHA v3 (optional): loaded on quote forms only when the administrator enables it and configures site and secret keys. Google receives browser request data when the script runs. On form submission, the site server sends the response token, configured secret key, and visitor IP address to Google’s verification endpoint. Terms: Google APIs Terms of Service and reCAPTCHA FAQ. Privacy: Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Drive image import (administrator-initiated): when an administrator imports images from a publicly shared Drive file or folder during catalog setup, the site server requests Google Drive pages/downloads using the file or folder ID from the supplied link. Google receives the request and ordinary server metadata (including the site server IP and User-Agent). This happens only during that explicit import; private Drive files are not accessed and Torlann does not request Google account credentials. Terms: Google Drive Terms of Service. Privacy: Google Privacy Policy.
- Other remote product images (administrator-initiated): during catalog import, the site server downloads each image from a URL explicitly supplied or selected by the administrator. The selected destination receives a request from the site server; its own terms and privacy policy apply. Torlann does not choose a single image-hosting service.
- WordPress email transport: when Torlann sends transactional messages (for example, order, quote, account-access, or invoice emails) or an administrator sends a document, it passes the recipient address, subject, message, headers, and any attachments to WordPress
wp_mail(). The actual transport is the hosting mail service or an SMTP provider selected by the site administrator; that provider’s terms and privacy policy apply. - Torlann mail relay: not included in the WordPress.org package. The optional mail API is available only in packages distributed from torlann.com.
- Torlann license server (
api.torlann.com): never contacted by the WordPress.org package. The license client is not included; links to torlann.com (pricing, documentation) are plain links that open only when an administrator clicks them. - Outbound links only (no automatic request, no data sent by the plugin): a pickup-point address may link to Google Maps, and an order tracking number may link to the carrier’s tracking page (for example La Poste, Colissimo, Chronopost, DHL, UPS). These pages open only when a visitor clicks the link; the destination’s own terms and privacy policy apply (Google Maps Terms, Google Privacy Policy).
Stripe, PayPal, and remote AI providers are Pro features and are not included in this free package (no Stripe/PayPal API calls from Free).
Privacy
- No Torlann telemetry or mandatory phone-home in the free edition.
- Optional external requests are triggered by administrator actions or explicit settings (SIRET lookup, Google Fonts, reCAPTCHA, Google Drive/image import); see the service-by-service data details above.
- Orders and customer records are stored on your WordPress site. Transactional email data is passed to the configured WordPress mail transport as described above.
- Review your privacy policy if you enable Google Fonts or reCAPTCHA, import images from external services, or collect customer checkout data.
Credits / Third-party libraries
This free package ships Torlann’s own PHP/JS/CSS assets under GPL-2.0-or-later (see LICENSE). No Composer vendor/ tree is bundled in the WordPress.org ZIP.
Bundled third-party libraries (see assets/vendor/README.txt):
- Tabler Icons (MIT) — admin / front icon webfont

FAQ
-
Is it really free? Do I need an account or a license key?
-
Yes, it’s free, and no. The WordPress.org edition is a complete store that works without a Torlann account, a license key or any activation.
-
Can I sell some products and quote others?
-
Yes, that’s what Torlann is built for. Choose “online sales”, “quotes only” or “both” for the whole store, then adjust product by product.
-
How do my customers pay?
-
The free edition offers bank transfer at checkout: you enter your bank details once and they are shown to the customer with the order reference. Card payments with Stripe or PayPal are part of Torlann Pro.
-
I already have a store on WooCommerce, Shopify or PrestaShop. Can I move?
-
Yes. Export your products as CSV from your current platform and import the file into Torlann. Columns, variants and images are recognized automatically, and you can check everything before the import.
-
Does it work with my theme?
-
Torlann creates its own store pages inside your WordPress theme, so your header, footer and menus stay in place. Ready-made styles let you adjust the look of the store without code.
-
Will upgrading to Pro keep my data?
-
Yes. Pro uses the same plugin, so your products, orders and settings stay in place.
-
Does Torlann phone home?
-
No. There is no telemetry and no license check in the free edition. External services are contacted only when you use the related feature; see “External services” below.
