Treatment Finder by PatientPulse

Description

PatientPulse is a treatment finder for aesthetic clinics and medispas. A visitor tells it what they are worried about, it guides them to the treatments on your menu that fit, and the enquiry lands in your PatientPulse dashboard with the visitor’s concern, budget and timing already written up.

This plugin is the WordPress connector for the PatientPulse service. It does one thing: it loads your treatment finder on every page of your site, using a site key that PatientPulse issues to your clinic. Everything else (your treatment menu, the questions the finder asks, enquiries, emails, appearance, billing) lives in your PatientPulse dashboard at app.patientpulse.co.

How it works

  1. Install the plugin and go to Settings > Treatment Finder by PatientPulse.
  2. Click Connect to PatientPulse. You are taken to app.patientpulse.co, sign in as usual (or start a trial), and confirm this website.
  3. That is it. The plugin receives a site key for your clinic and loads the finder on every page. Nothing to paste.

Requires a PatientPulse account

The treatment finder is a paid subscription service with a free trial. The plugin is free and open source, but the finder only shows to visitors while your PatientPulse subscription is active. Pricing and terms are at https://patientpulse.co/.

Per-site display options

Optionally override the button position, launcher style, accent colour and button text for this site only. Add [treatment_finder_by_patientpulse_launcher] to any page to place an inline launcher.

Developers

  • treatment_finder_by_patientpulse_should_load filter: return false to hide the finder on specific requests.
  • treatment_finder_by_patientpulse_app_url filter: point the plugin at a different PatientPulse environment.
  • The front end prints one async script tag and makes no server-side requests.

External services

This plugin connects to the PatientPulse service (https://app.patientpulse.co), operated by PatientPulse. It is required for the plugin to do anything.

What is sent, and when:

  • When you click Connect: your site address (home URL), a random one-time state value and the plugin version, so PatientPulse can issue a site key to your clinic. The site key is exchanged server-to-server and stored in your WordPress options.
  • Once a day (and when you open Settings > Treatment Finder by PatientPulse or click Check now): the site key, your site address and the plugin, WordPress and PHP versions, so PatientPulse can confirm the licence is active.
  • On your public pages: the browser loads the treatment finder script from app.patientpulse.co with your clinic identifier. Anything a visitor types into the finder (their concern, preferences, contact details when they choose to leave them) is sent to your PatientPulse dashboard. The finder records that it was loaded on your site so the dashboard can show the install as live.
  • When you click Disconnect or delete the plugin: the site key, so PatientPulse can revoke it.

Nothing is sent to PatientPulse until you click Connect. No data is sent to any other third party by this plugin.

FAQ

Where do I manage my treatments and enquiries?

In your PatientPulse dashboard at https://app.patientpulse.co/dashboard. The plugin links to it. Sign in with your usual PatientPulse email.

Do I need to paste any code?

No. Connecting the plugin does what the manual install code does, without editing your theme.

What happens if my subscription lapses?

The finder is hidden from visitors automatically and the plugin shows a notice under Settings > Treatment Finder by PatientPulse. Update billing in the dashboard and the finder comes back with no reconnection needed.

Can I use the same account on two websites?

One website per subscription. Connecting a second site issues a new site key and the first site stops showing the finder.

Does the plugin slow my site down?

It prints one small async script tag in the footer. The finder itself loads only when a visitor shows intent to open it.
