Description

a2zz AI Catalog Bridge for WooCommerce exposes three deliberately read-only WebMCP shopping tools:

search_products
get_product_details
check_stock

The plugin queries the merchant’s existing WooCommerce catalog locally. It does not require an a2zz-hosted backend, Google Sheets, Apps Script, or a browser extension.

The included tools do not stop working because a store reaches a product-count threshold, time limit, request quota, or payment boundary.

Version 0.3.3 keeps the verified behavior and updates the plugin name and WordPress.org slug references requested during directory review.

Free core and future add-ons

a2zz AI Catalog Bridge for WooCommerce is a complete free core plugin.

The three included storefront tools remain available regardless of catalog size when WooCommerce is active and the merchant has enabled them.

Future paid a2zz products may be distributed separately as add-on plugins or separate premium plugins that add distinct capabilities. Paid add-ons are not required merely to restore or unlock functionality already included in this free core.

Security boundary

Public shopping-agent tools expose only whitelisted published catalog data. a2zz does not provide storefront-agent tools for product edits, price changes, inventory changes, customer/order access, refunds, user management, file uploads, plugin management, PHP, SQL, or WordPress credentials.

AI Assistant Access is separate from storefront-agent access:

Off: no a2zz administration abilities are exposed by a2zz.
Assisted: authenticated AI assistants may inspect a2zz status/settings and run diagnostics, but cannot change settings.
Full a2zz Control: authenticated AI assistants may also enable/disable the three a2zz shopping tools. They still cannot change their own access level or alter WooCommerce/WordPress data outside a2zz.

AI Assistant Access depends on a compatible AI client/integration. a2zz exposes machine-readable abilities; it does not itself create or pay for an AI account.

Accessibility

The administration interface is designed around WordPress accessibility practices and WCAG 2.2 AA principles: plain-language labels, visible explanatory text, keyboard-operable native controls, visible focus, semantic headings/tables, screen-reader text, and no color-only status meaning.

Developer self-test

From the WordPress site directory:

The self-test does not create, edit, or delete WooCommerce products. Authorized administrators can also use WooCommerce > a2zz AI Catalog Bridge > Run Browser WebMCP Test to verify registration and execution in Chrome without opening DevTools.

In WordPress Admin, open Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin.
Upload the a2zz AI Catalog Bridge ZIP.
Choose Replace current with uploaded if upgrading an existing a2zz AI Catalog Bridge installation.
Activate a2zz AI Catalog Bridge for WooCommerce.
Open WooCommerce > a2zz AI Catalog Bridge.
Review status and tool settings.
