Description
Muslim Door gives site owners five matching native WordPress blocks and shortcodes:
- Prayer Times, using a site default, manual coordinates, or visitor-approved browser location.
- Hadith, selected by post ID, collection, book, and optional date window.
- Quran Passage, for a Surah or a range of Ayat with Arabic and translation controls.
- Quran Recitation, for streaming a complete Surah.
- Seerah, for publishing sourced entries about the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Every block supports WordPress’s built-in color, spacing, typography, border, and alignment tools. Administrators can also set site-wide card, minimal, or accent-panel presets and colors under CodifyCore > Muslim Door.
Muslim Door is fully free and open source. It contains no paid upgrade, licence key, trial, telemetry, advertising, or feature gate. All plugin features are available under the GPL. External content providers remain subject to their own documented terms.
Hadith and Seerah can be entered and verified by the site owner. Muslim Door does not silently download or publish a religious corpus. Add source details, collections or topics, and optional schedules as appropriate.
The Content Library can create optional self-hosted copies after installation. Administrators may import Quran text and translations, upload licensed complete-Surah MP3 recordings from their computer, and import licensed JSON packages for Quran, Hadith, or Seerah. Each edition is managed separately and can be removed separately. Imports require an explicit rights confirmation plus license and attribution metadata. Large content is never downloaded on activation.

External services are disabled by default. A site administrator must review the disclosure and enable them under Settings > Muslim Door before remote prayer times or Quran passages are available. Recitations play only from MP3 files uploaded to the site.
External services
Muslim Door uses the following services only after a site administrator enables external services. Neither service requires an account or API key:
-
AlAdhan API (
api.aladhan.com) calculates prayer times. For site-default and manual modes, configured coordinates and the requested date and calculation method are sent by the WordPress server. In visitor mode, a visitor must click “Use my location” and grant browser permission first. Coordinates are rounded to three decimal places before the request and cached temporarily by WordPress. Muslim Door does not create a permanent visitor-location record.- Service: https://aladhan.com/prayer-times-api
- Terms: https://aladhan.com/credits-and-terms
-
Al Quran Cloud API (
api.alquran.cloud) supplies Quran text and translations. The WordPress server requests the selected Surah and edition and temporarily caches the response.- API documentation: https://alquran.cloud/api
- Terms: https://alquran.cloud/terms-and-conditions
The site owner is responsible for reviewing provider terms, selecting appropriate translations and licensed recordings, and describing these services in the site’s privacy policy. Muslim Door adds suggested wording to WordPress’s Privacy Policy Guide.

External service requests occur only after a site administrator enables them. Visitor geolocation additionally requires an explicit click and browser permission. See the External services section for the data sent to each provider.

FAQ
-
Does Muslim Door automatically detect visitor location?
-
No. Visitor-location mode shows a button. The browser asks for permission only after the visitor clicks it. Site-default and manual coordinate modes do not request browser location.
-
Does the plugin include a complete Hadith book?
-
No corpus is bundled. Site owners can add and verify Hadith locally or explicitly import a licensed JSON package, then display an imported book with pagination. This avoids silently redistributing material with unclear licensing or provenance.
-
Can Quran text, translations, and recitations be fully self-hosted?
-
Yes. Use CodifyCore > Content Library after activation. Import each Quran edition separately and upload each licensed recitation MP3 from your computer. Record license and attribution details, and remove editions individually. Prayer-time calculation still uses AlAdhan when enabled; locally installed Quran text and audio do not need the remote provider at display time.
-
Can I use Muslim Door without external services?
-
Yes. Locally managed Hadith and Seerah, imported Quran editions, and uploaded recitations remain available. Prayer times, provider imports, and non-imported Quran editions require the administrator to enable the documented services.
-
Why is a Quran passage limited to 50 Ayat per render?
-
The limit keeps pages responsive and avoids oversized API-backed output. Use consecutive blocks or shortcode ranges for longer reading layouts.
